Can someone explain to me how Coinbase has all the #bitcoin to back up all the paper Bitcoin of these ETF’s? Does the government have an implicit agreement with them to bail them out with stockpile if need be? Is that even enough?
I understand a lot of people think RKF has no chance, but he is clearly the Bitcoin candidate. He truly gets it. Also, if Bitcoiners as a group threw their support behind him, he would have a much better chance. Imagine if this new super PAC, including Coinbase, throwing millions at Trump decided to instead put it behind RFK, that could make a big difference.

Those who want control exert influence, those who don’t want to be controlled don’t. Therefore, those who just want to be peaceful and left alone cannot stomach the idea of exerting influence over someone else, and are susceptible to those who will, and don’t act until it’s too late. At that point they become the controllers they so despised.

I already kind of knew this, but just watching that reinforced how this whole system is truly built on bullshit, and people will inevitably flee to the stability of the Bitcoin protocol.
After watching the Big Short again, I feel even better about putting my money in Bitcoin.

For me it’s self-consciousness, anxiety, and addiction. But I’ve used it to channel my creativity and wrote a novel, “Slender Notions”, which encapsulates the depravity of those depths, but provides me with a string of hope in the book and my life to overcome it. Life is what we choose to focus on, and you can channel that focus to do whatever you want.

Not what I said at all. But if we got out of this mindset that only 2 candidates can win we would be much better off. Also, the tyranny I was referring to was within the Bitcoin community.
RFK could win if people stopped thinking it’s only between 2 candidates and chose someone more aligned with their ideals, instead of someone who just says what you want to hear, without actually meaning it. Also, if the Bitcoin community at large supported RFK he would have a much better chance. We should act more hopeful then than this. This is how tyranny creeps in.
A lot if Bitcoiners are going gaga over Trump. Be leery. This is a guy who loved printing money, and will do anything to inflate the economy while he’s in there. The obvious Bitcoin choice should be RFK.

While it would certainly annoy some people, it would force people to be more nuanced and readers to take time to dig into content. Also, it would help average people who have a tough time building an audience, so they don’t have to post short click bait content just to get attention, and can actually take time to create insightful content.
Been thinking a lot of how to spread good ideas without influence, and if it is possible. Influence and coercion seems to be the corrupting power of ideas. Bitcoin is one of the few ideas that subverted influence and grew organically. It seems anonymity is the key. Overcoming our ego to allow ideas to flow without a central influencer could be the key to allowing great ideas to get a head start, then let secondary first adopters spread the message. Sort of like Jesus with his apostles. Books and art also fit into this category because authors put their work out in world and let the market decide their worthiness. A person’s ideas pedaled by them devolves into a cult.

The game theory is definitely playing out, but I do worry about some unforeseen way for them to fuck with the Bitcoin price the way they do with gold. Not really founded on any deep thought or evidence but just a concern. Also, I think RFK is the only one who truly understands the importance of Bitcoin, Trump sees it as a geopolitical power play, which is also smart.

Yeah I hear ya. My goal is to get at least a coin before September, because I think we are taking off after that. And boy oh boy could I use that financial relief.
Can we please get above 70k, or at least drop back into the lower 50k’s so I can stack some more.
