Using the usual plateform I only see Wise, PayPal, etc. by using these you still Doxx your name to the person from which you purchase. I would rather just give a Gift card number.

Questioning my life choices as I debate whether or not it's worth setting up a single sign-on system for all the shit that I host personally to give friends and family access to. 🤣

Yesterday I spun up a Nextcloud instance that will be a shared resource for multiple communities that I am a part of.

1. Reverse proxy rules updated by Ansible

2. VM created by terraform

3. Nextcloud/postgres/nginx/TLS certs set up by Ansible

After I edited a few text files, it took a bit over 10 minutes to between nothing, and fully working #Nextcloud server.

Well, adding some external security cameras to the house has already caught some interesting shit. Some dude just rolled up to our house, obviously spotted cameras and was like, nope, and dipped the fuck out.

I am delegating checking out Batocera Linux to one of my sons.

Batocera can turn a PC into a retro gaming console. I haven't used it before, but have hardware that I think would be perfect for it: a Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF (small form factor).

What are people's #thoughts on #RustDesk ?

It's a very devisive piece of #software It's certainly very feature rich and it's very responsive too when I tested it.

But a lot of people are worried by the #China #relays problem and I see a lot of seemingly knowledgeable people talking about some of the traffic being unencrypted.

So I wonder what the clued up #Fediverse thinks? I'm especially interested from an #infosec angle, since that's the area where many eyes count the most.
