Find a better life ahead.

The biggest con of our times is that capitalism has been equated to free markets.

The reality is capitalism equals modern fiat banking.

Hence the name *capital*ism instead of free-marketalism.

36 Days today on the carnivore diet.

I was just looking at my picture from about the time I started. I went ahead and posted both pics. Nothing has really changed in my life except for going carnivore.

The difference is shocking... I made the recent one my profile picture.

So in my case I'm eating mostly beef, with some pork, a bit of chicken, a bit of fish, and an avocado or two a week. I eat lots of smash burgers, usually beef, sometime pork at work with good sea salt, pepper, and sometimes cheese. I'm eating cheese by itself as well. I feel good on the cheese but I'm pretty sure I would lose weight faster without it.

I'm also not avoiding any spices currently.

Anyway I'm down about 10 lbs since I started, but also putting on muscle while maintaining about the same schedule.

I may go more paleo at some point. But I was at a point where I really needed a healing diet to break up the mitochondrial/ metabolic/insulin resistance dysfunction.

I have better energy, I'm sleeping much better my heart rate is lower and more regular, my breathing is back to normal for the first time since I had Covid, my low level depression is gone, my brain is working better, it's all the same thing and it's all getting better. And I don't have the all over achy stiffness like I did with general muscle inflammation.

Day 36 of carnivore diet. I went off my blood pressure medicine today! I've already been on a quarter of a pill for over a week!

Yup. Even sharpening shops don't usually file them unless you ask. But it won't cut unless they are deep enough...

Making biochar in a barrel from Eastern Cedar brush instead of burning or chipping it.

#grownostr

I'm making biochar today in 2 55 gallon barrels. I put half inch holes about 2 to 3 inches apart in a circle around the bottom in the flat bottom part. I'm not sure this would work as well in dryer climates but here in the Midwest it seems fine. I'm not doing a water quench. I just put the lid on it and let it set overnight.

It seems to work a bit better for me than the saddle cut version, and I don't always have water where I'm working to quench.

When it's cool, I will dump it into a plastic barrel and let it fill up with water.

With a temp gun I'm getting temperatures in the bottom on the outside of the barrel as hot as 1,000° today with Eastern cedar feedstock.

The last batch I made I fed too fast, and it was a bit under done, so today I'm going slower.

I just stopped at a small town gas station. It has a Bitcoin ATM.
