Yeah this is sort of what I’m encountering. I am running a Bitcoin node, Lightning node (which is currently having issues), Electrum server, Nostr relay, and Tailscale.

Ideally, I’d love to run a few more apps like Nextcloud server and maybe like a Vaultwarden instance.

Need a more reliable solution before I go down that path.

I’ve seen a couple of people say this as well. Scoop up an old Lenovo laptop and run Umbrel OS. The main benefit here would be the removable battery.

Yes. It usually hovers around the 35-40 C temp range and it has 4GB total RAM.

I currently have Umbrel running on a Raspberry Pi and the performance is not ideal.

Been thinking about upgrading.

The Free Software Foundation has been around since 1985 (37 years). The goal has always been for humans to have complete and total ownership of the software they use so they can:

1. Use it for any purpose they desire

2. Study it and modify it to produce a different result

3. Redistribute copies of it and help their peers (p2p)

4. Improve it and deploy public enhancements so everyone can benefit

To me, it seems that technologies like #Bitcoin and #Nostr are the next "epoch" of technologies that fully embody these core beliefs. They hold the true meaning of "freedomware" and these principles are baked in from the very beginning.

We are just getting started.

Really excited for the future of this space.
