https://libgen.is/book/index.php?md5=D4BAA69103944ED97F92A480C67B48FF it’s a quick and easy read. I thought they must work 80 hour weeks to survive. You know, make arrows, shelter upkeep, hunting, struggle for survival. But nope. We are the ones with broken money and rampant hyper consumerism. We’re the ones working hard for what someone else prints for free.

I really enjoyed learning about how an egalitarian community remains stable, especially support for the elderly.

Despite putting in lots of hours in the west, Missy people only do 4 or 5 real hours of work a week. I’ve worked in tech and started my own company and know what it looks like when people actually work 30 or 40 hours a week. It’s very rare and powerful. But it’s a whole other topic.

Thank you for sharing! I need to read this to see exactly what their quality of life is and how they manage to survive with so little effort.

It's shocking to me because of how much effort we spend on a daily basis, yet we never seem to progress anywhere. This applies on every level (individual, societal, entrepreneural, national).

nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft has already written a read-only Web client (for now); it's very bare-bones, but will (soon) include publishing.

It already allows commenting.

⚡️I'd like to congratulate nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft on his work on Olas, the interface is clear, navigation is fluid and there's even a video tab for scrolling through videos like TikTok or YouTube Short 👏.

NOSTR has a bright future ahead of it 🙌

How do I access Olas?

Gm.

I don't remember my dreams and I'm perfectly fine with that. Dreams are psychological horror shows, ones that you're not aware of the fact that you're assigned as the main character.... Pass!

I don't need no talking cats nor dancing guerillas to freak me out of my comfort sleep ❌.

Read about hydrocarbon field depletion, water cut in production, and hydrocarbon basin modeling.

There's plenty of hydrocarbons in the subsurface, but not all of it are cheaply recoverable. You could have a billion barrels of oil in a certain "field, but the amount that you can recover at a low cost is only 30% of that. It gets exponentially more expensive to recover the remaining 70%,and it requires decades of research and advancements in " Enhanced oil recovery methods".

These methods include water injection (using the difference in density between water and oil to push the oil upwards), surface pumps, steam injection, acidizing hydrocarbon reservoirs, utilizing surfactant and immulsifiers, and finally hydraulic fracturing or acid hydraulic fracturing.

What else is out there/to be discovered? Only time will tell.
