Fun fact:

nostr.build uses sha256 to hash your image, and renames it that hash to prevent duplicate image uploads.

So although long, your image name is used the same hashing algorithm Bitcoin uses.

(a few of us are trying to come up with a better naming scheme, but this is it for now)

you can even "share" your blog post on the timeline of your home page. on Flycat, it will render beautifully, on other clients it will show as an article URL that can be open too.

Very cool! Testing it now, looks like it grabs the image, but stuck not sending it? Make sure the regex isn’t just grabbing jpgs

actually would love to have a api for this. use regex to extract the URL from HTML page is unreliable

you are not sign-in? so I think it is normal to not able to send it. btw my client looks awful on mobile phone. it can only be used on desktop browser.

Submit a request with the file and submit props, the use a regex to get the url.

I think the medium.com replacement is the best strategy moving forward. Preferably keep the two ecosystems slightly separate, with separate clients, unless a client deliberately wants to support both.

I am (kinda) working on something like that, #[3] is too, but we must come up with a nice standard.

One this this "long-form" standard should have is the ability to edit the content.

I have built a web client with blogging https://flycat-web.vercel.app/ not sure if it is causing problem, it uses one replaceable event as a table for storing a list of articles, and one user might got multiple tables if he blogging more

Yea I wrote flycat(my web client) from scratch.I didn’t want to use some Nostr libraries either, can be time-consuming
