How do you run Amethyst on a Desktop? Emulator?
> On a related note, if you use a cheap chrome book do you think your keys are very safe?
No idea. Cheap things tend to come with malware pre-installed. So, I am always very skeptical about the lower end of the spectrum.
That is most certainly interesting. Perhaps everybody ends up in requests unless you have history of DMs with them?
If it were up to me, I'd let your follows (not followers tho) let you DM without a request and let requests just be mostly spam with the occasional gem or as you propose having an option to limit who can DM you. Both seem to me to be equally valid solutions.

Yep, our implementation is quite dumb at the moment. If you have sent a message to a person, it moves to the known tab. Otherwise, it stays as a request.
We could add other inputs, but it might make more sense to do this first:
Because using a Follow list to determine "friends" or "people I trust" is not ideal. And since everything flows around "Follows" right now, most of these other UI concepts suffer. :(
So much to do...
There are 2 types of mobile users: Those who have another computer around and think apps should be minimal and those who don't and want their apps to do everything.
GM
Hard to say. Sometimes backups come back.
Messages are on relay.snort.social and relay.damus.io and a few on nostr.mom
I think most of these posts are old, you can see here: https://snort.social/search/The%20next%20round%20of%20Trivia%20Masters%20(beta)%20by%20%23%5B0%5D%20will%20begin%20in%201%20minute.%20Get%20yourself%20ready!%20Keeping%20the%20rewards%20lower%20until%20the%20kinks%20are%20worked%20out.%20The%20first%20correct%20answer%20will%20win%2010%20sats%20and%20a%20consolation%20prize%20of%203%20sats%20will%20be%20given%20to%20one%20other%20random%20participant.%20All%20bots%20will%20be%20disqualified.%20%23trivia%20%23plebchain
You might need to delete a char and add it back to refresh the screen if you don't see any posts.
The account is probably not in the spam folder until people go to the profile and the last 1000 messages are loaded. That's when all the duplications come and the app goes nuts.
If you send 5+ messages that are exactly equal in a short period of time, Amethyst puts you in a temporary block.
If people report you, they send a message to their followers with the report. If a follower receives 5+ reports from different people, your posts appear with a warning.
Of course, users can always disable these filters. But since they are effective, very few do.
It doesn't look like. As long as you don't spam people with the same message, you should be fine.
No, it's just simple Nostr.
Guessing the creators of Amethyst are just not fans of trivia? nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z curious why a trivia bot that pays sats to people who respond blocked/ marked as a spammer? Every message has unique characters and it does not initiate first to others.
Dozens of duplicated messages to the same users. :( The bot went straight into the spam filter.
Is the bot just replying the same thing over and over again?
If you follow the bot, then it doesn't go into spam. Frankly, for those of us that don't want to participate in the game, it does look like spam.
Hum.. I thought Damus had implemented a viewer for blog posts.. maybe they don't do quotes yet?
Not yet, I think. But you could. Relays just need to keep older events ready.
Git over Nostr is happening!

Very cool! What happens when people don't post commits to nostr and go directly to the server? Does it create a broken history?
Yep, that would be awesome.
Habla does use replaceable events. You can edit your blog posts.
Interesting. Can they share the secret with other people?
