Nice! I am very interested in what data should be available to the script. I assume you are blocking most if not all of the phone APIs (access to the web and stuff), essentially making it a read-only query language for Nostr Events.

Humm... Very strange. Are you sure this wasn't another client deleting them? We save them together with the contact list. So if your follows are kept but not the hashtags, then it's probably some other client deleting things they don't support yet. Usually that happens when you follow or unfollow, or adjust your relay settings in another client.
Make sure to not reinforce large accounts only. Trending seems to be a centralizing force in any social media.
Doing regular Nostr DMs and GiftWrapped DMs at the same time will be challenging UI-wise.
But.. hey.. at least it's really private now.
Even your likes are GiftWrapped. No one outside the group will know you are liking, zapping, or reporting things.
I am modeling after whats app and slack. Maybe a thread id is warranted, though.
