Gonna write a NIP for clients to be able to push a “feed” ie list of event ids they processed - feed will have name and description (and more?)
Other clients can then basically subscribe to a feed they like - so more powerful clients or power users can produce any algorithmic feed they like and others can sub to it if they want
Relays wouldn’t need to do any feed processing and every user gets any algo they want
Users define there own algos in a competitive manor

Is the only true way to make a Nostr client fast enough to be good is to basically run an intermediary relay that the client talks to and the intermediary relay grabs all the data async and stores it
This is like p2p with extra steps
I think slashtags (holepunch) is essentially Nostr if it was p2p in a BitTorrent like way, where data is seeded via any peer on the network and is available as long as you can “find” it
This seems more censorship resistant but we will see what happens, I’m hoping more info becomes available soon

Another way it benefits is you may be able to leverage Nostr for storing some data or syncing data from Nostr
However I think this also makes it hard to make the app profitable
I don’t think Nostr clients need built in lightning wallets and instead can just use Nostr wallet connect to control one or many wallets
Or direct api calls or remote control of home node or all of the above
Bitcoin price going up might solve the Nostr dev funding crisis
And it’s very easy to build a decent Nostr client to interact with the same social network, so if one starts charging you can easily switch if you dont want to pay but if no one pays the network will die
