I own and have read all three. 1984 & hitchhiker's twice. All great. These 'must read' lists are very subjective, but I can completely agree that they're all well worth a read of you're looking for a good book. Hitchhiker's has a great sense of humour. Frankenstein was very well written I thought, didn't realise it was from the point of view of the monster, who is much more articulate than Hollywood portrays. Not much needs to be said about 1984, reads a bit like an instruction manual for the last 3 years unfortunately.
