https://walletscrutiny.com https://nostr.info Working on Bitcoin, Nostr and being a good dad.

We have won. Nostr is the bird app now. Twitter concedes our victory.

So Elon just confirmed that the logo change was not some prank by some intern with too much power. 🤦‍♂️

So Doge just pumped 23% at the hands of some of Elon Musk's minions. WTF? Could that other bird app please die already???

Twitter! What is wrong with you? April's Fools Day was before yesterday!

Spam is spam. If this event is worth my time, promote it organically. DMs from some fresh account ... meh.

I just read my first Twitter spam DM for a nostr thing. I'm conflicted but ... blocked and reported anyway.

I must admit I was a bit irritated when I first learned as a kid, that these plugs were "male" and went into the "female" counter parts. Who even came up with this in the first place? Electric plugs don't look very "male" to begin with.

Back then, conquering other countries was a fair business venture, supported by the king.

I'm not sure if grabbing what they can was necessarily low time preference. Maybe it was just so in bed with the crown that competition just wasn't allowed until the "company" itself was obsoleted by the crown?

I'm curious to watch some documentary on that ...

I usually do lock manually when I get up but I want to not have to worry if I forget it, so deactivating the auto-lock-screen is not an option.

AHHHHHHRGGGG

How do I get my debian/wayland/gnome machine to indicate when it is about to lock the screen?

I used to see the screen fade to black slowly, allowing me to hit a key or move the mouse **and** allowing me to type in my password with confidence when the screen was black as that meant it was locked.

Now with Wayland, for some reason I can not tell if that black screen is just black or locked as to avoid having to type in the password every time I observe the lock screen's activation I have a delay for locking after blanking. If I come back from grabbing a coffee, I have to hit a key to see if my chat comes up or my lock screen prompt.

Wild speculation: People far less cautious than myself probably type their password into chat windows all the time.

How can I configure some visual clue when the screen is about to be locked? A timer, a screen saver, whatever ...

Three issues:

* After sending a note from the preview view, the next time I try to author a note, the old preview is shown until I click Toggle Preview

* Whenever I reload the tab, the app defaults to showing a message indicator
