I thought about this a lot, too. What if we could make a device that does dialysis in a way that can bypass burning carbs? Hook it up to the bladder and pump sugar out of the blood stream into the urine. Your body could lose weight without the exercise š
Probably that would mess with your body in other ways though.
Glad they don't have such a device at Ledger HQ. /s
Sorry. Your link had a . in the end and that lead to some confusion.
Sounds arbitrary to me. Why not use a decimal number ;)
Ok, TIL. Will read up on the details ...
It's an attack on Bitcoin. Nobody is **that** stupid. Somebody sold it to himself. May the real proud new owner of these twelve ugly pixels please stand up!
It's a draft: https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/pull/686. Looks like our NIP number got ganked.

We're just waiting for NIP 44 encryption to get finalized.
That link is not better than "nip24". Where can I see details?

Trezor 1 and 3 are at $69 and $79 respectively. The latter has a "secure element" and a screen to show what you are actually approving with it.
What does the BitKey provide that is not provided by other products as half the price already?
The "4x" is arbitrary. The discount in general not.
With "arbitrary" I mean there is no scientific reason why exactly this number is the correct one.
Bond yield is how much the bond issuer has to pay to get lent money. If they have to pay high interest, people expect a default, which is bad.
The SegWit discount of 4x is arbitrary though.
Pre-SegWit nodes see SegWit transactions as anyone-can-spend "unsigned" transactions, so they don't know of signatures and the weight thereof. They do count the bytes of OP_RETURN though as it's not segregated.
But wizard pic degens don't take that route as they don't get a discount then. Or so is their excuse.
"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by neglect, ignorance or incompetence." right?
I don't know. Those "idiots" are not only ignorant but also filthy rich so maybe we can attribute it to malice? Who but some cantillionairs has the money to put low-res wizard pics no the blockchain?
To elaborate, the beginning of October, miners did probably not include plenty of zero fee transactions but any transactions that paid a fee at all were mined. Zero fee transactions are marginally free to produce, so anybody could make sure the mempool never clears all of those for free.

I'm glad to see that Bitcoin is leading the charge over the top 30 shitcoins. None of them could gain as much in the last 7 days.
I get it there is many fans around here but me, too, I got very turned off by this game's incentives. Combo bonus for mass murder and stuff. It's not about being against arbitrary law but against my own ethics. I can jump into the role of an emperor that leads his people into a war to the death with another empire (Age of Empires) or a dude that has to kill thousands of other humans to escape from where he is trapped but the GTA series ... I can't identify with a dude running people over (to get a combo bonus) instead of avoiding casualties on his escape. I could jump into the role of a car thief, too but this total disregard for innocent bystanders is just sickening.
Can somebody help @npub1aljazgxlpnpfp7n5sunlk3dvfp72456x6nezjw4sd850q879rxqsthg9jp by reviewing https://github.com/aljazceru/awesome-nostr to mark stale projects as such? Anything stale for over 6 months is likely not coming back. They don't need to be deleted, just less emphasized to avoid user friction and confusion.
I am unsure how to restructure the page, but I am sure Aljaz will consider ideas/PRs to do so. There are too many old/stale clients/codebases in there.
