Head of growth @ Vexl, dog lover/friend. P2P without any KYC (no exceptions) advocate

Prague has some nice statues

If you don't have Google Play, you can still download Vexl from the Aurora Store.

We aim to make Vexl extremely user-friendly, but frequent updates every week or two can complicate support and development for our small team.

As a nonprofit, open-source app, we appreciate contributions through pull requests or donations to help us expand our developer team.

Vexl does not see your phone number, no trading happens in the app. Everything happens between you and the counterparty think of it like peer to peer tinder for bitcoin.

Your phone number is only used to build your social graph your web of trust.

There are no trades happening in the app there are no wallets, there are no on ramps or off ramps.

Think of it like this I post an offer and I say I want to sell my bicycle for bitcoin or I want to buy bitcoin with cash.

So my offer is encrypted for each person in my contacts individually.

If you were interested in my offer, you will see that we have a few friends in common and you can decide if you want to pursue the offer or not. If you do you open e2e chat and discuss the trade further. We decide to meet because we have mutual friends. I sell you my bike for bitcoin I walk away I delete the chat and it’s gone forever.

This is not how Vexl works.

You do not register your phone number with us and you do not share it with us.

It happens client-side no one sees your phone number. It’s only used to build out your social graph using hashes.

No trading actually happens on the app. It’s essentially a social network messaging platform That’s completely anonymous and private.

There are no records of trades. Chats are e2e encrypted. Your profile is separate. Your chats are separate. Your offers are separate and encrypted for each person individually.

Vexl does not touch. Bitcoin, Vexl does not touch Fiat.

The biggest difference between us and every other peer to peer platform is that we encourage people to meet face-to-face, and trade with cash to leave zero digital trace.

Most P2P platforms have on and off ramps which require you to reveal information about yourself such as your bank account details. And require you to trust third-party escrow services with Vexl.

There is no middleman. There is only you in the counterparty and you decide if you want to trade or not based on mutual contacts and trust.

I use primal and Damus on iOS I have to switch between the two because they both have issues and frustrate me

There is no APK currently and I don’t have an ETA for when there will be one but it is coming.

I use primal and Damus.

The load time is terrible on both, images and video don’t work for me on either app but maybe 2/10 times..

Hey! I haven’t seen any questions from you? I just checked my inbox. Happy to chat anytime about Vexl. I don’t check Nostr as often as the apps don’t work well for me.

No really! He’s free!!!

There's this notion in Bitcoin that we are building tools to help the world become a better place – but when faced with actual, real world problems, responses are often reactionary and self-serving.

Bitcoin isn't private enough? You're just not using the right tools. The tools are too complicated? You're just not dedicated enough to the cause. Bitcoin fixes all your problems, you just need to spend countless hours of your life to understanding it.

Yesterday, nostr:nprofile1qyg8wumn8ghj7efwdehhxtnvdakz7qgnwaehxw309ac82unsd3jhqct89ejhxtcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucmpw4ek2uewvdhk6tcprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6f0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qghwaehxw309aex2mrp0yhxummn9eek7cmfv9kz7qgewaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmp0qy28wumn8ghj7un9d3shjctzd3jjummjvuhsqgykrhztmdarqyq9dg8tpzqr5jww8tjdy2wehj8t07r2lxfsna9fach3y264 released a report on the usability of Bitcoin (and privacy coins) for activists, and it's a sobering look at how builders in this space have failed those they claim to help protect.

No-KYC on- and off-ramps are still too hard to use. Coins need to be swapped between networks or privatized with dedicated software. Self-custody is easy, but wallets offering network-level protections are often not directed at non-technical users.

We can ignore these criticisms if we want. Or we can stop gaslighting users and skeptics alike for not being educated or engaged enough, and start dedicating more resources to building tools that actually serve the needs of those who need it most.

Using Vexl to buy bitcoin with no KYC has never been easier. There’s no excuse for using centralized KYC exchanges.

Where to start. They are a love band so albums no.

YouTube has loads of full shows and they just released full 2024 tour on Spotify.

I mean phish is a great band. But no body is on fire like the biscuits are these days. I grew up seeing phish and widespread panic.
