Nobody bothered to read the magnificent article by Arthur Hayes, now they are surprised by the fall of bitcoin, when we have been warned of the Iranian attack for more than 48 hours, evidently it is not the Iranian attack that precipitates the markets, the markets are precipitated by the lack of liquidity.

The world is heading towards a scenario with persistent inflation, on the other hand China is the pretender to the throne and will not stand still, the US is not omnipresent, the third world war is a very plausible scenario.

Let me sum it up for you, the only salvation you have is Bitcoin.

Iran just sent drones at Israel, currently en route, so multiple countries in the region are closing airspace, announcing states of emergency, preparing airspace defense systems, etc.

Most financial markets are closed, so crypto is basically the only place with liquidity for the market to express its view on whether this will result in serious damage and geopolitical escalation.

Bitcoin sharply down from $66k to $62k on the headlines, most other cryptos down more. Paxos Gold (a gold-backed stablecoin) had a huge spike from $2400 to $3000 but it is coming down now. Leveraged liquidations can distort the initial magnitude here.

Sad day; hopefully calmer minds prevail and de-escalate.

Somehow missed this drama: nixcon dropped anduril as a sponser because the people obsessed with censorship over on the fediverse complained when #nixos posted it on their instance. I don’t have a strong opinion on anduril, I’m just grateful we’re free from the tribal hell over there.

Single devs with shoestring budgets are criticized for not having everything ready for everyone. I guess the solution is just to shove everyone into the KYC’d VC funded one with lots of employees. Pretty sad that this is where nostr is headed. I guess this is jacks vision for nostr now so it must be done. The biggest threat to nostr is a handful of influencers who control the funding and can pick the winners. Purple is my attempt at breaking free from this, but I feel like it’s already a losing battle.

i love nostr but do you ever consider a life without social media?

thanks to #Bitcoin we will have the freedom to choose a sovereign life of fewer screens & epic outdoors in the near future.
