i love nostr but do you ever consider a life without social media?

thanks to #Bitcoin we will have the freedom to choose a sovereign life of fewer screens & epic outdoors in the near future.

I am working with some amazing people to build a real Citadel, where we will build and become nodes in a self sustainable bio-community in one of the world’s last frontiers.

It’s going to take years to get this right but there is nothing more exciting or better suited for me.

when we launch nostr users will be the first to hear of any lodging openings or news, and their applications will be prioritized.

Stay tuned freedom lovers 🤙

Nice. Just don’t paint a target on yourselves.

lowww low profile

🤙🤙🫡

Patagonia citadel?? Would be wild and cool..

🤯🔥🫂💜🤙

hell yeah!

Sounds awesome!

keep us posted. Dreaming of a life not dominated by the state and its economy occupies my mind a lot these days.

Of course the dreams centre around Bitcoin and its revolutionary potential, but also on the sheer amount of work required to make these dreams reality. All kinds of work, but most especially the kind of intellectual work required to be an engaged citizen and not the protelarianised consumer that most of us have been conditioned to be.

And work is hard, especially when you feel your chances of success are low, based on how you have been conditioned to view the world and your place in it. Much easier to just go with the flow and enjoy the (rapidly diminishing) quality of life that historical accumulations of capital have afforded us.

I hope to begin my own citadel-building journey in 2025; it's both the terrifying and thrilling prospect of a new world.

Very much in line with what has been calling me. Let me know how I can be of service to the vision.

absolutely brother you on top of the list 🤙

👀🤝

Godspeed 🙏

Been practicing self sovereign living for 30+ yrs now, since long before "social media".

To quote Bill Mollison, the founder of Permaculture, "True security only comes from looking out your window and seeing your food growing and your neighbors working."

I look forward to the day when all my neighbors are Bitcoiner who understand, value, and provide proof of work. May such a day come soon for those of us ready to stop participating in the upside down fiat clown world we were born into.

Good mornin'! Quite a view to wake up to! 😎🤙 And to answer your question: yes. No one needs social media. Lol. To be honest, based on everything I've observed, I find it rather boring. 😅 Although, this is my first time using social media, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I haven't really explored it enough, yet. Nostr is interesting, no doubt. But, there needs to be more focus on a broader range of non-social media-based clients.

> thanks to #Bitcoin we will have the freedom

Now here is a recipe for disaster.

extraordinary place.

thank you for share your thoughts and beautiful photo😍

Yes. Nostr is a better social media platform, but social media is still shit.

Can you tell us the country?

Looks like north america

no

No, I will not tell you the country.

No, it's not North America 🤫

can we swim on that water?

good luck!

why? too cold?

Social media is important. It’s largely responsible for spreading the philosophy of why we are here in the first place. Solution: touch grass sometimes!

I need this

i had no screen time all morning... and i need to shut the screen off so i finish cleaning my house

how much Bitcoin would someone need to be part of a community like this?

- a humble stacker

none, we will provide work exchanges for the right people

Lovely idea in some ways but a community with a set of ideals no matter how good seems dangerous to me. Best of luck.

🤝

Ahhh so this is what Gigi was mentioning on why we should connect. We definitely should, and would love to have you come visit Yellow Barn!

would love to!

IRL citadels have been on my mind for the last 6 months

As a former Forest Bathing Guide I love this idea. And am slowing working my way towards a similar retreat land space.

look forward to hearing more

I dream of it. It's just a necessary evil to curate knowledge via a braintrust (and make some friends). The goal is to never need a screen ever again. Men were made to be toiling in the garden. Stoke to hear about this endeavor. Any clues on location? N.America?

Where will your Citadel be friend?
