Specifically for cuneiform, there are multiple efforts, covering roughly the time period you mentioned. There is this post, [1], and [2].

There are probably around 1-2 million cuneiform tablets that have been found so far.

Many of them complete, but even more of them as fragments.

Those fragments mostly just sit around in store rooms. It's a giant puzzle few people even have enough knowledge to attempt.

Proudly presenting: The Cashu Protocol v1 specs!

One year after the inception of Cashu, we finally introduce the first version of the protocol.

This is a major evolution! We dubbed it "The Great Cleanup" and it's already being implemented in different Cashu projects.

You can find the pull request in the Cashu NUTs repository.

Cashu NUTs (Notation, Usage, and Terminology) describe the protocol specifications of Cashu wallets and mints. This makes sure that Cashu Ecash systems are interoperable.

Among countless other improvements, we introduce a new concept: Quotes!

Quotes allow mint operations with different payment methods (Lightning, on-chain, ...) and Ecash units (sats, msats, usd, ...).

This brings incredible flexibility for building Ecash systems.

We also transition from base64 keyset IDs to hexadecimal IDs with a version flag. This allows much easier upgrades of the keyset ID in the future.

If you are a developer, make sure to check out the many Cashu libraries on our documentation page at https://docs.cashu.space

Onward!

I am confused.

I see a big list of ecash wallets on https://cashu.space, but Fedi (https://www.fedi.xyz) are not listed there. 😅

Did I miss something? Is Fedi not an eCash implementation? Or using different tech?

4Chan is like a Reddit but without moderators, right?

I remember reading about a white labelled Nostr client some time ago, but of course, I forgot to bookmark it.

Any nostr app that simply opens a tab "what's happening" and filters on #4CHAN or something similar would do, no?

Also, force (or hide) all posts made in this app to include the #4CHAN and there you have a decentralised 4CHAN.

If you really feel cute, you might add a (paid) relay option in this client.
