In my opinion the value of gold is due primarily and overwhelmingly due to its monetary premium (not the jewellery made with it.

Bitcoin used as anything other than money, means it's being used sub optimally. Higher fees for stupid additions add friction for people trying to use it as money.

yesterday (after my ongoing 7 year journey in Bitcoin), my wife said "I have some spare cash, should I buy bitcoin". She has always been supportive of me buying but first time she showed interest. Set her up a strike account and to my surprise, price was $89k. Absolute steal. Life is working and we are winning haha
