I only check the bitcoin price a few times per week now under normal circumstances, but I saw a ton of people whining about it so of course I saw the recent breakdown.

I sometimes throw a few extra bucks at it on top of my normal dollar cost averaging when there are heightened liquidations.

In the prior consolidation, Bitcoin peaked in March 2024, consolidated for a while, then broke down in September 2024, before breaking out to the upside about a month later. Technical breakdowns mean little. Charts are useful sometimes, but mainly for those who don’t know what they own.

I like technical breakdowns when the fundamentals are still solid. It lets out froth. A lot of the post-election stuff is struggling, which is normal. That’s why I faded the hype originally. When all of it weakens, I’m still here.

Still adding for the long run.

I just come on nostr and bitcoins price in a post eventually. Lol

Cheap sats are back on the menu

DCA everyday is the way

Blessings in disguise

Consistency is the key

It’s easier for early adopters to ignore the price because accrued gains provide a psychological cushion (“I already made a good decision, I’ll ride it out”). For new adopters, there is a temptation to check the price constantly to validate their decision (“What if I made a bad choice? Should I get out before more damage is done?”).

It is very difficult psychologically to buy, hold, and ride out the price swings from the outset. Many believe they can and convince themselves they will, but following through is easier said than done.

If I went through that psychological hell, I see no reason why other people cannot.

I’m actually going to lovingly call bullshit on you Lyn.

I think you’re (perhapsedly) in the same sinking boat we’re all in.

Bitcoin is clearly breaking.

But it’s a game of chicken who (with credentials) admits it first.

What the hell are you talking about? Blocks are still being produced, transactions are still getting confirmed, and price is at $92,000. This is the most high time preference emotional thing I think I've ever read.

I second this, nostr:npub1yfmcm63zgnzj9jnafvtnlrz0rjhv7me54suuj83p9rqg78jc687sle794q

Tick tock next block

Short it

Ha, you don’t have to short it !

What a lame take. Bitcoin is doing just fine, the more attacks and market pressure the better. It’s performing superbly well through turbulent times

Ok, I'm convinced. I'm converting all my BTC to XRP.

breaking? lol

zoom out. It isn't breaking at all. it is clearly still in its long term uptrend and the environment is primed for that ro continue.

Short it

Breaking? What happened?

The talk was solely about price-action, not the state of the Bitcoin network. Yes, thats a high time-preference take, but that was the discussion.

So please don’t insinuate my comment was about Bitcoin itself.

I buy dips.

Also, so far, it’s aging well.

In a room full of children Lyn is the adult

DCA is for losers and as much as you like to pretend you're one

You're not

but a pretentious grifter, that, you are

Your XRP is showing

still feeling superior, grifter?

What’s changed?

Every day, my conviction grows with Bitcoin. I degened a lot in my first cycle beginning from early 2017 and played with insane APR DeFi. It was fun, but I had a rude shock when I saw how much I bled. Didn't think twice and switched to 80:20 portfolio in 2022 in favor of Bitcoin. Gradually, I tapered it down to 97.7%:1.3%. Today, I feel i should have done 💯 % on Bitcoin in 2022 itself. But I don't regret anything because the volatile rides taught me many valuable life lessons. Pain was part of the learning, but with higher intelligence, you can mitigate your pain to a large degree. The biggest wealth is intelligence. The best returns are love and compassion.

There are only two kinds of people:

1. Those who check the Bitcoin every day.

2. Those who lie about not checking the bitcoin price every day. 😉

Guilty on both accounts your honour. 🤫

yesterday (after my ongoing 7 year journey in Bitcoin), my wife said "I have some spare cash, should I buy bitcoin". She has always been supportive of me buying but first time she showed interest. Set her up a strike account and to my surprise, price was $89k. Absolute steal. Life is working and we are winning haha

MOAR pain until Lyn feels it!

Whining…..perfect description. Like -17% off the highs….nothing. Need more weakness for more sats.

Think we’re headed to low $70K in short term. Should be a great opportunity to STACK SATS & FLAPJACKS 🥞 #AllDay #EveryDay

Solid as always Lynn

BTC is likely going back to the scene of the major price break out ($73-74k). It will either return there soon or be the bottom of the next Bear cycle imo.

Respect the cool head Lyn. We’re with you.

Good morning

It’s likely if we broke 70k

WEN GANG?

Have you checked the Monero price? Stable as always. Meaning when everything's going down against the dominant UoA, going up on the ratios.

I do the same thing, but with Monero.

bybit buying the dip 😄

Just finishing your book Lyn, great read! I've been in btc land for a few years, I have a friend asking me about the recent price movement. Are there any words of wisdom to share with newbies who get caught up in the fud? I'm trying to formulate something simple and precise to dispel short sightedness.

BTC accumulation a bit like feeding ducks - slowly throwing bread in the pond but occasionally tipping the basket in when you get near the bottom … quack!!

I honestly haven’t checked price in months… I still stack sats everyday, I just really never understood why price mattered. Bitcoin is bitcoin, that’s all that matters to me.

I learned about bitcoin in the 22k days, when everyone was very on edge due to the price, but I was so excited about it I didn’t care. I think learning during the bear market really helped my outlook.

When I went to the Miami Bitcoin conference at peak bear season, it was so disheartening to hear so many people be so negative on bitcoin because of the price.

Price shouldn’t effect one’s feelings or mood.
