Tried another access point and everything works. The thing is I’m using the same router I have been for years and haven’t changed anything. This leaves ipv6 ipoe as the culprit. Looked into it further and noticed the ISP is hijacking my DNS and forcing some sort of EU DNS. No thanks!! Can’t disable it, can’t remove.

Digging around further found that brave and chrome use some sort of secure dns setting that apparently Safari doesn’t (hence my stuff working there).

Also learned that many CDNs block direct IP destinations and require a domain name or won’t load the website. Wow… new to me.

Anyway, my ISP is doing something, likely DNS being the issue, or some other IPV6 related filtering or something.

Not bad, but to much commercial stuff in it like Google photos and contacts, Dropbox, Whatsapp, zoom, etc and obviously his apps hey and Basecamp. I don't have yet an opinion on including docker by default. it makes sense for that audience tho

Swipe up to close apps on Android doesn't make your phone any faster. It usually doesn't even close the apps, including Amethyst. You can just leave them all open.

Android will close the oldest apps when it needs the space automatically. If your phone is not visibly closing apps for you, your swipe up is not doing anything.

Some interesting (I think so anyway) facts about the UK plug:

- Every plug is fused (3A, 5A or 13A normally)

- The earth pin is long to ensure the appliance is earthed before the live and neutral pins connect

- The earth pin also mechanically unlocks shutters for the live and neutral so kids can’t as easily stick things in the sockets

- As you can see in the picture, the pins are plastic at the bottom, meaning fingers are less likely to touch metal when plugging it in or risk or arc-ing

- It’s much more stable than the two pin designs of US/EU with thicker square pins that offer better connection

- Plugs are rated to 230V at 13A which is higher than a lot of other plugs

** NOT ELECTRICAL ADVICE, I AM NOT AN ELECTRICIAN ;-) But from what I know it seems like some pretty cool design decisions.
