How high would the price of bitcoin need to be in the summer of 2024 for this to get traction? I think about 130k and a politically ambitious and experienced bitcoiner like that might be able to force way into debates.

Even in the bitcoin maximalist community people define themselves by what the price was when they started buying substantial BTC.

Everyone acknowledges that sales of classic bitcoin books (bitcoin standard) or advertising on bitcoin podcasts is HIGHLY correlated to price.
In the long term I can see argument that price "doesn't matter", but as time starts to run out on my life the short term matters a bit more.
I feel poor when price goes down. People like me have some real bitcoin in some places that I never sell from....but I also have USD denominated securities that are highly correlated with BTC price.
