We've had this discussion on Nostr many times (and I've only been here for a week, lol.) Can a genuinely decentralized protocol be user-friendly? Devs are all doing their own thing here and are underpaid or not paid... or overworked. There's no centralized overlord to make it cohesive. I think(?) it's just a matter of time before it becomes more user-friendly, and hopefully they can do that without sacrificing principles.

To be clear, just because I want people to be uncensored doesn't mean I want to see everyone's posts, whether vile hate or happy and nice fake smiles...

Yea, and I primarily only use mutes and blocks for trolls or unwanted posts that we're forced to see from an algorithm. I think that even the worst humans on the planet should be uncensored. How else will we know if we're friends with say, a serial killer? Better to have it all out in the open than hidden behind a facade.
