Feels like #Nostr is the new Schelling point for #Bitcoin node runners. And if so, it’s incredibly important just on the strength of that alone.

Reflecting on Nashville 2024:

80% of the conference seemed to be shitcoiners and 20% Bitcoiners.

Very few people actually buy whale passes. Most are given out to speakers and friends of the magazine.

The dickbutt wizards had one of the largest booth areas and very few people stopped there.

Lots of mining signal, booths, talks, connections being made.

The night activities associated with BTCmag were insanely loud. (Specifically thinking about whale night). I saw lots of drinking and next year is in Las Vegas.

The best moments I had were with people I randomly ran into or friends from other conferences.

Trump knows almost nothing about Bitcoin and that's probably ideal.

Snowden is based as usual.

There was plenty of signal at the event, but the experience of the conference over YouTube is probably sufficient.

BTCmag is hands down a net good for bitcoin, but unfortunately bridging the gap between bitcoin and fiat poses a risk of corruption to some degree.

My desktop computer has been running for a decade now and still serves its tasks well. I’ve never even updated the RAM. It’s basically just starting to show its age at this point.

Now to be fair it was custom, so I got top-end parts rather than cheap ones and assembled it, and packed it with more RAM than I needed at the time since that’s what tends to show its age earlier. So it was intended to last maybe 6 years without an upgrade.

But I also have a standard laptop that I’ve kind of lost track of the age of. I think it’s like seven years old and I still use it daily and travel with it.

I never would have imagined that these would last so long. I used to change computers far more frequently- they got so much better so quickly back then even for straightforward stuff. I’m not really pushing them with intensive gaming or processing activities, but still.

All assets are overvalued at multiples of their utility value or earnings………

The reason this occurs is because equities and real estate are functioning like a bank.

#Bitcoin, a better store of value then gold, will simply absorb value from other assets.

#Bitcoin can never be overvalued as it is not required to produce earnings, or provide shelter……….

#Bitcoin simply needs to be an excellent store of value tied to reality and it does this very well…….
