should probably say “you retire” in general. The destruction of fiat savings is still ongoing. Government spending won’t be as easy now that BTC exists, and there’s a bunch of debt to pay back one way or another.
Bitcoin truly is the only hope, and they’ll try to take it away with wealth taxes and the like.

1 million sats might not seem like much today, but in 16 years, this will be a nice monthly salary for most.
You retire early by buying those months cheap now.

I believe 1 to 10 million sats would cover most people's monthly expenses. As Bitcoin keeps moving up, 1 million sats will be a solid sum. Of course, it’s not there yet.
monthly expenses:
0.01 BTC - meh, can barely eat
0.1 BTC - meh, not the best-paying job
1 BTC - meh, spent generational wealth on bar hopping
when your sense of “success” is just a proxy for how much you spend each month, you’ll never feel successful.
there’s so much more to life than just earning and spending 10 times more than you do now, but you need to meditate on what that means to you.
anything above 1 million sats needs a good reason for not being on-chain IMO

The Bitcoin whitepaper was published on October 31st, 2008, a historic day now leading to the separation of money and state.

“Digital IDs” might be a 128-bit number to play nice with existing systems. Imagine the vacuum of all those potential random values that could be your nym for the next 10 minutes.
Being assigned handpicked values won’t sit well with people. It goes against what’s natural.
There will never be a centralized institution that is big or enduring enough for the KYC industry to survive.

Internet access should be KYC-free for everyone.
Conversations about internet service providers are few and far between.
What’s supposed to be public good infrastructure is gatekeeped.
Your social security number is no less than an IP address. That's messed up.
Great perspective on KYC. It’s basically rich countries putting in the effort to keep our psychos in power while the world of finance decentralizes.
Going from nothing to Bitcoin has advantages over going from a system we depend on to Bitcoin.

bitcoin presents you with the opportunity to be more present, but not before dragging you through all of your regrets for the past and worries about the future
“do less” and “slow down” are a message you’ll keep receiving over and over again
with the crowds urging you to rush to nowhere every time they get excited about the fiat price of BTC.
Lockheed Martin was sold a bunch of shitcoin in the past. I don’t think people realize just how much of the “inflation tax” goes straight to them.
If you really want some leverage over global affairs, it might be the most important organization in the world to orange-pill.

I’ve lost a few posts after accidentally swiping down.
Let the Chat Control proponents fix it. They wanted to ban encryption for comms. Now, they can just monitor relays and fuck off.
recently watched a video about how much investigation went into Trump allegedly receiving $10M from Egypt for his 2016 campaign.
my primary reaction - that’s such an insignificant amount. Would need to adjust for inflation I guess.
#bitcoin is not yet widely talked about as an international meddling tool, but good luck trying to stop it.
billions will potentially be moving around every 10 minutes like it’s nothing.
there are no “bank records” to check for if you’re “high up” enough to ignore KYC.
BTC will one day be recognized as a global political power. Much more powerful than any IMF, FATF, and gang.
only a tiny percentage of base layer #Bitcoin transactions will remain private. Most will eventually get KYC’ed.
This is a feature. The ledger is powerful in fighting a corrupt fiat system because of its public transparency. A CBDC would only be transparent to the commies.
Your lightning custodian will know what you buy. The win is that it’s not immediately the state who knows. You can also run your own node.
ecash will be fought against. The win is that we get to fight for the continued existence of cash.
Bitcoin is not perfect on layer 1 for everything, but it keeps hope alive and can be built upon. That’s the best, real result you’ll get.
