Partially agree with both statements, but not convinced about the priorities. I think there is a bit of a state of operational blindness reached.
At the very least, other questions should be asked like how do you guarantee equality and equal opportunities here, especially because Nostr could be more than social media.
Also, external input should be considered relevant, and there should be the courage to incorporate it here. Right now, Nostr is a men's club, you can ignore that and continue to code into the void or start with a fresh infusion of healthy vitamins to heal and close this gap.
There are both other needs these days from ppl outside and more similarities than you might think with the Bubblers. Building bridges, creating a healthy base for thinking and participation first?
I'm still here with ideas for a broader focus on conferences to do that and also for clever PR and film, which can arise from it. Freedom here is real. But creating a healthy base should not be optional.

I am addressing presumptuous assumptions that I prefer censorship. So, let me be clear: censorship, no thank you. Finding an elegant solution together to make Nostr more accessible for everyone? Yes, please.
In response to the "do it yourseeelf" remarks, I can only say that I am not a developer, and I do not have the technical knowledge. I also do not have the financial means to pay a developer. This seems to be a general problem where this type of work is often underpaid.
I admit that I have not yet made a constructive suggestion.
"Nostra" comes from Latin and means "ours." And before I bid farewell to the next social media application, I wanted to gain attention and also participate without giving up.
My analysis of the status quo tells me that so far, little input has been sought from outside the Bitcoiner/Nostr bubble. I can and will do something about that.
So, if you want suggestions, here is my first one:
1. An open forum for a decentralized social media where 50/50 Nostrians and non-Nostrians can contribute ideas and needs as information for developers. Goals should be formulated.
I have proposed this idea for the next unconference and would love to build this forum.
Will has done great work. Damus and Nostr have the potential to be beneficial for *many.

Devs been playing around with all sorts of Nostr applications for a while but ignore that this NSFW stuff annoys the majority of people when they just simply want to communicate with each other. Also if you search for #Art you find some artworks but also lots of AI porn someone who wants to see just Art definitely not expects to see. That’s details I wish someone would work on. Those things makes it hard to have a positive Nostr Experience and even harder to participate and interact here. You stand up for a monocausal cause of a minority who is now a majority here..and some people wonder why Nostr isn't being hyped properly. The sex industry is doing very well without Nostr.
