I agree with you. Moreover I try to differentiate between emotions and feelings. I don't always succeed.. :) Fear is an important primal instinct and still helps us to interpret dangers (far away from hunting mammoths, though .) You shouldn't let fear stop you from making courageous decisions .That's how K I understand this quote, that’s how resonates with me.

I understand that ! I think one of the challenges is, to use everything art has to offer to create a self portrait you are comfortable with. It doesn’t have to be a photograph, or if, you could alienate it, play with it in an artful way.
