We need more appreciation for the #ufc in bitcoin. That company represents absolute badasses and is a beacon of hope when it comes to men growing a pair, not giving a fuck and getting what they want.

I have learned invaluable lessons from following this sport and company

Here’s where I learnt to code:

Great site, was a lot of fun

“That would never happen to [insert local fiat shitcoin] though!”

Good to have you back here!

Quite a bit of pump since then but no sea shanty posts to celebrate it with

Remember GameStop?

Bitcoin is basically that + you’re not just fucking over a select few elites but all of them + nobody can turn off the buy button

#SATSQUEEZE

2023 was fucking awesome, just wait and see what we will do with 2024!

What’s also funny about this is that Keynesians tend to treat Bitcoin as though it were some hypothetical. The argument is essentially one against the creation of something like bitcoin. But now that it’s here and is real, even the argument itself concedes it will bring about deflation because bitcoin will go up forever

„Oh you want to go Ice skating? Yeah we‘ll need ID for that“

Wtf?! This shit is not normal

But you have to unlock it first to spend it and you lock it again for the recipient. You don’t really change the lock, you just move bitcoin behind a new lock.

I mean I’m not sure about all the technicals details here and am sure that there’s a reason why what I‘m thinking of won’t work.

But from what I heard it it possible using FROST to add and remove required signatures from a multisig without an onchain tx. (So changing the lock without unlocking it)

What if Bitcoin was behind a magic lock that could be changed over time allowing you to „transfer“ Bitcoin ownership by changing the lock itself instead of unlocking it and locking it again with a new lock

Thinking about it, bitcoin fought a war over a character limit and would’ve also been destroyed without it

I thought this was gonna be a Neil Patrick Harris joke

Not sure if I’m late to the party but I just realized that zaps break the mindset of posting stuff for money.

It seems counterintuitive because zaps are quite literally money you receive for stuff you post.

But the critical thing is that it happens *after* the post. It is something you cannot predict, something that isn’t guaranteed.

That in turn makes you consider what people will consider the most valuable as opposed to being a mindless puppet to the people that pay you for your posts *in advance*.

Put simply: They incentivize you to think for yourself as opposed to following a script

How would you define censorship?

Based on my understanding of it, it is a filter, framed as a filter against spam.

So where would this turn into censorship in your opinion?

With the “best” Fiat you loose half of your money within 10 years.

With gold you have a bit more, about 35 years.

With bitcoin you have forever. Literally.

Bitcoin will go up forever but that’s not the most exciting thing about it. What it promises you is not a great return. It promises a world where you no longer are forced to look for great returns just to keep what you earned
