i can attest that certain salts with chirality are extremely pretty to watch in the process of forming under a 10x loupe

i at certain times in my life have been both of these things, not concurrently though, whoring is good money, but i am no actor so my clientele thinned out pretty fast

i just realised that my vanity npub actually could be interpreted as having an appropriate 8 character ending

hsmmleku - His Salty Majesty Mleku

need to put that on my profile now

#carnivore #diet is not really healthy for humans

cats are carnivores but they eat grass as well, sometimes other herbs

similarly, humans usually need a little bit of fibre in their gut, so actually the proper diet for us is #paleo, which omits mainly grains and is minimal carb

we are nearest genetically to a family of animals whose diet is highly mixed, there are carnivorous, omnivorous and vegetarian apes and monkeys, but they originated through the lemur, the link between felines and monkeys

the most similar of the apes to us are chimpanzees, who are largely carnivorous, but also eat quite a lot of different kinds of fruit and herbs

seed eating makes sense for animals with an extremely high short burst energy requirement, like birds and rodents, the starches are very rich sources of sugars

but humans, despite the fact that sugar is very important, are adapted to diets with higher fat content and high sugar/starch content is digestible and can be used but long term it causes health problems, and the reason why heart disease, cancer and diabetes are now pandemic in our species

it has been known for a very long time that a diet high in sugars and starches is bad for health and lifespan, but the people who control the media, the government, the chemical and agricultural industries, mostly bankers and their families, most of them related to each other and back to ancient tyrannical dynasties, like to kill off populations of humans for sport and their religion of misanthropy called eugenics

it is not "trendy" to eat paleo, it's what your body was evolved to live on, and the only thing that has changed since the majority of human history since then was around 40,000 years ago we became able to consume milk also beyond the age of around 8 years or so, often earlier

really, paleo is the conservative diet choice, and the modern diet is the progressive and wrong one, and it not only shortens and lowers the quality of life, it makes you more suggestible and prone to psychosis, because of the way the blood sugar can agglomerate on your nerves and disrupt nerve function, which is the basis of most types of psychosis - it is no coincidence that the family of drugs that cause the most overt psychotic effects are ones that block the signalling system of the neuromuscular system via acetylcholinesterase inhibition, and a similar effect occurs gradually getting worse, to cause alzheimers, and is at play in motor neurone disease

#carnivore diet, and the #milk diet, which nearly nobody talks about but i believe it is a known thing - are elimination diets, and cannot be followed indefinitely, though they are great for recovering from especially type 2 diabetes

if you are finding benefit from #carnivore it's probably because you have early stages of type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance

it helped me enormously to switch to milk, not only because of the relatively low cost and high nutrition of milk, but because my diabetes has advanced to the point where i was having neuromuscular problems with my eyes and general weakness, and the cause is the chronic high blood sugar forming plaques around nerves and reducing nerve signal conduction especially to muscles, leading to weakness even though my muscles have actually got plenty of glycogen to work with

I am an open-minded skeptic and I challenge what I think I know, rather than try to confirm it. But that doesn't mean I disagree with the 'establishment' or 'mainstream' on lots of things. Only on a few things. Only where the evidence leads me.

In particular, I agree with mainstream nutrition science. And I know far more about it than I let on (even though I don't practice it). I've followed it since the 70s and have too many books. I was raised a vegetarian by an SDA mother who preached the Ellen White "health message" to us kids growing up. I remember the science even then showing SDAs living something like 9 years longer than everybody else. My great grandmother (an SDA) lived to 99. I'm a member of the CR society and used to post on that newsgroup for years. I let myself lapse in the last 15 years and let myself be convinced by passing fads, articles, and meta-analyses that meat is good for you and that keto is good for you (and I ended up with a property that had sheep on it so I learnt to farm sheep) and I sorta thought the mainstream view had moved past low-fat diets on to low-carb ones. But I dug into it today and... nope. I was just fooled by what has become popular online.

You keto diet people are going to die of heart attacks in your 50s and 60s. You will seem healthy right up until the end. Fit, lean body mass, top form. Then pop, you're dead. The science was in 50 years ago and is only more certain now. Don't be fooled by supplement salesmen or beef industry lobbyists. If you want a social media influencer, listen to nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 . Veganism is very close to the most healthy diet and he'll probably live past 100. I will still tease him about it though. Fucker... trying to outlive us... how dare he!

hilarious

i'm 47 and artificial sweetners and potato chips were killing me... type 2 diabetes... i was losing my vision and starting to get really bad muscle weakness, what tipped me off was that i was getting infections on my skin that took really aggressive use of peroxide to stop, i looked up "persistent infections" and sure enough it's a symptom of diabetes

my diet was not a lot different to "normal" "healthy" diet recommendations, mostly carbs, but it is and has always been a bad diet for my genetics, my grandmother got alzheimers and now i am quite certain it was from amyloid plaques from chronic high blood sugar levels, she was similar physique also, never really quite got fat, her skin aged a lot slower than average (probably close to average for asian)

so, yeah, there's a reason why i am avoiding grains and starches, and i've never felt better in my life than now

i can consume carbs in small amounts now without big problems but not long ago it was a constant battle

sugar metabolism should not be the dominant mechanism in operation in a human body in general, it produces a lot of oxidative free radicals compared to the direct use of fats for glycogen production, and it leads to all kinds of problems including heart disease and cancer, nothing feeds cancer better than glucose, and low blood sugar starves cancer

eating seeds is a new thing in human diets, only first appeared about 15,000 years ago and prior to that what else could humans have been eating for the previous 250000 years of the time our species has existed??? mostly meat

gossip model used alone violates the single responsibility principle

and it thus makes it impossible to test relays

one thing at a time

if your system doesn't work don't use the shotgun approach when the target is your users

i am definitely saving for a holiday at the end of my current mission, at least a month of no work

it's gonna be hard because i know y'all need some people to kick against the pricks

and i am always tempted to kick at whatever stupid i see around me

might need a total abstinence from internets

also, how do i test a relay if the client doesn't obey my settings to use just my relay so i can actually test it?

not saying the idea is bad but it makes it impossible to test relays, at least make this a setting instead of the default

brute force may work sometimes but more often it is counterproductive

the more parties in the equation the more likely that brute force is a bad option

more often it's a better way to go to find the weak, open point instead of attacking a hardpoint

very often the open point is how the opponent wants you to go, and if it's business, that's your fucking business partner you numbskull

um, yes, it works, but it's not helpful if all the clients only do this and don't respect the users nip65

and it's very wasteful of bandwidth and time and relay bandwidth especially

you can hit a target if you shoot all over the target but better to hit the target in the head

much more efficient

who the fuck dreamed up the "gossip model"

#asknostr

because fuck them, fuck them in the arse

seriously, how am i supposed to test a relay i'm building when no client actually respects the fucking NIP 65????

uh, think about it you fucking numbskulls
