Yeah, all of these organizations either completely lose the plot and don’t understand who their supporters are or they are corrupted and serve another master loosing sight of what the organization was created to do. How much CPU and Memory? I have some hardware and large SSD I could setup. I could create redundant backups, etc. I think it would be cool to have Bitcoin nodes and Nostr relays running like this.
I am a hardware and network guy and don’t write code. Does this type of setup make sense to you? Obviously there would be trust involved if I have physical access to the server. Also, the only backup would be rack mount battery, so while not common, downtime would be possible.
