Homesteading, Permaculture, Bitcoin, Freedom. All one or all none!

Spot on! Silverfox. There is chicken wire the starts on the ground about 1ft inside the fence then extends up about 3ft. The have plenty of space so they aren't trying to dig out.

I'm in a miming group on telegram. I think there is one called home mining wizards. I keep forgetting to add the #plebminer hashtag. There are a bunch of pleb miners on Twitter still.

Katahdin hair sheep moving quickly over the pasture too keep their impact light and allow the fresh spring grass to establish. This is the third paddock so far this season and will be moving them every day for the next couple weeks until the grass is fully grown in. By then, lambs will be born and the sheep will be able to spend 2-3 days in each paddock. The best part about the area they are currently grazing is that there is water in the form of springs they can drink from. Most of the time we are hauling water to them. #permaculture #homesteading #rotationalgrazing #regenerativeagriculture #localfood #carnivore #keto #lamb

Still a few more weeks with low temperatures at night and a few freezing days too. The Bitcoin mining cold frame stays plenty warm for the cannabis starts. The S9 will have to continue to heat this cold frame for another month or so. As the weather gets warmer it will be less and less necessary. I'll have to find something else to do with the heat or it doesn't make sense to run the machine.

Is value technically transfered if the channel is still open? If we sit across the table from one another and slide a quarter back and forth is that taxable? If a whole convention center of people are doing it at the same time does that change anything?

Mid Michigan Bitcoin Meetup is tomorrow. A great group of plebs offering high signal. They are throwing a huge bbq camp out on August at Lake Satoshi too.

Yes, grafting makes certain a desired fruit will be produced. A seedling is definitely uncertain what quality of fruit will produce. As far as the ratios go, I have no idea. There is a wild apple here on the homestead that is tasty enough not the best apple ever but definitely fine for cider or animal feed.

It's tree transplant surgery. Cut a young branch off an apple tree and splice it onto a young seedling apple tree. The seedling tree and the young branch grow together making a clone of the tree the young branch came from.

Grafted 30 apples this spring. Was able to trade scion wood with some plebs to add new varieties to the collection. Got over 50 varieties so far and hoping for the first good fruit set on the oldest trees this year. Growing orchards from bench grafts is definitely low time preference.

Last year I grew garlic for the first time in our food forest. We plant "substance" crops in the rows between the fruit trees and perennials. This is the first season replanting from home grown garlic. So far it's looking good. Hopefully I can stay on top of weeding it and have an even larger harvest than the first. Still eating fresh garlic but it's starting to sprout in the cellar. Maybe I can make some garlic powder with my S9 powered dehydrator before it's too far gone. #permies #permaculture #homesteading #garlic #gardening #foodforest

A walpini would be awesome! Maybe one day.

Using an S9 Bitcoin miner to heat a cold from growing plant starts this spring. Been running it at 500-700w to keep temperature 70-80°f. I unplug and open the up the cold frame during the day if it's warm to get more light and wind to make for stronger plants. On cloudy cold days it stays running to keep it nice and warm. It's been working very well so far! #bitcoinmining #plebmimer #permaculture #homesteading #gardening #cannabis #bitcoin #s9

Katahdin hair sheep out on pasture for the first time this year after a few months eating hay in their winter paddock. The grass is still establishing itself after coming out of dormancy so the sheep will be moved every 24-36h to a new paddock for the next week or two. Then every 2-3 days during the summer. Moving the sheep often helps to build soil and improve pasture by distributing their impact and fertility evenly while not allowing them to over graze shortening the time it takes for the pasture to recover. Another important reason to move the sheep often is to reduce the parasite load. By moving the sheep before parasites hatch in the manure they don't reingest them. #permaculture #homesteading #rotationalgrazing #sheep #sovereignty #grassfed #localfood #regenerative #sustainable #buildingsoil #pasture
