Ich bin jetzt seit fast einer Woche krankheitsbedingt ohne Sport. Noch vor zwei Jahren wäre mir das total egal gewesen. Aber seit Juni 2023 (dort begann ich mit der Vorbereitung für einen #Ironman-Triathlon) habe ich mir eine sehr intensive sportliche Routine zugelegt. 6 Tage ohne Sport fühlen sich wie eine Ewigkeit an. Und sind grausam. Jetzt merke ich, wie wichtig mir Sport wurde. Und wie stolz ich auf meine Transformation bin. Stack fitness, hodl health.
Gerade vom Zirkusbesuch (Roncalli) mit dem Zweitgeborenen nach Hause gekommen. Ich war seit 20 Jahren nicht mehr in einem guten Zirkus. Es war so schön. Geht öfters in den Zirkus!
Ich schulde euch natürlich noch das Update vom #Marathon in #Ljubljana heute: Lief trotz schwerer Beine richtig gut und ich hab mein Ziel unter 3:30h zu bleiben solide erreicht.
Der Marathon hier war super organisiert und die Strecke ziemlich gut. Aber das Publikum hier war phänomenal! So viele, so laut. Überall. Respekt Ljubljana, ihr seid sportiv durch und durch. Das erklärt Phänomene wie Tadej Pogacar oder Luka Doncic und Primoz Roglic. Hut ab!

In #Ljubljana angekommen. Die Nacht im Flixbus war fürchterlich - wie im Kühlhaus und unfassbar unbequem. Oder ich bin einfach zu alt für sowas... Bib-Nummer ist abgeholt, jetzt noch ein wenig die Stadt erkunden und Kräfte für den #Marathon morgen sparen.

Was just about to load a route onto my smartwatch for a long run — but then I realized: I’m back in my hometown, Straubing, Bavaria, for the weekend. So I’ll probably just jog down memory lane instead. Get lost in the past. Run by my old kindergarten, my schools, the sports clubs. Back to the place where I first met my amazing wife. Through the park where we once tried to figure out the effects of alcohol and weed as teenagers... Gonna be quite a run. I’ll tell you all about it later!
