I'm shipping a #Firefox extension soon which uses machine learning to determine if content should be blocked. I have no desire to compete with gorhill and his superb #uBlock Origin, but I love playing with #ML and giving Firefox users cool things to play with. Maybe I can fold some of this tech into his extension?

Apple is cracking down on apps that collect user data for tracking purposes, known as "fingerprinting," starting with the release of iOS 17 and other operating systems. In June, there were a lot of computer attacks called ransomware attacks. These attacks increased a lot compared to last year. One group called Clop was responsible for 21% of the attacks. They used a special trick to get into a popular computer program called MOVEit. Another group called LockBit 3.0 was responsible for 14% of the attacks. They have been the most active group this year. There were also some new groups that started doing attacks in May, like 8base, Rhysida, and Darkrace. These groups did a total of 66 attacks. Most of the attacks were against targets located in North America, followed by Europe and Asia.
