Agreed... But the way reporting is these days, it's more often in the middle than on either side. With exceptions on harming children(trans movement). But both sides are just trying to play/report to their side.

Bitcoin is my hope for the future. Makes me want to opt out of the rat race and live a simpler life. Fiat has everyone working harder for less and it takes it's toll on family, friendships, and pleasure in life. Bitcoin is the future

Along this same line of thinking, crazy to think in 10 years we'll still be hitting hashrate ATHs and yet miners will be more profitable than ever

Growing fruits and vegetables with my wife and literally eating the fruits of our labor

It's the..."as long as you're asking the wrong questions they don't care about the answers" thing. The only question they don't want you to ask is, "is this system even viable?"

It has taken me a few years but I've pretty much opted out of the US system. I don't argue politics anymore. Just talk about how no matter which side wins, nothing changes. I'm gearing up to look at El Salvador... Because I'd rather be part of the new system instead of performing constant CPR on the old

And inflation was higher than expected, so they might continue raising rates, which means they'll need to print more to cover the interest. About to shoot themselves in the foot

Also, do you really trust any article to tell the truth about Russian stockpiles? Remember articles: "the war is not going well for Russia" "Russia wasn't prepared for the war in Ukraine" etc.

I wish people would research the beta max vs VCR debate... Took me 15 minutes of a Google search... Beta max had a maximum run time of an hour and fifteen to an hour and a half. What was the main use case for either of these technologies? Put a movie on them. Most movies are two hours long. VCR could fit a movie on one cassette... From that point of view the VCR was the superior technology.

*licking ice cream* best I can do is internet shame infamy, Jack

And it's only getting worse. Everyone has to work harder for less purchasing power. Fiat only made the rat race worse.

There's a viable scenario...I just don't see how it's going to survive trust after this debt spiral comes to fruition. Anyone in the US will still have to use it... But once the dollar loses its world reserve currency status ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Incentives have been misaligned for so long, it's like breathing fresh air you didn't know you were missing. Can't wait to see Bitcoin innovation the next decade.

I mean... The dude is trying to hold so many things together. I know he's said he personally still holds Bitcoin. He's fighting on so many fronts that still are invested in the fiat system I think we can just be glad he holds some at all.

To me it's not a decentralization issue, it's a fiat issue. Companies themselves for the most part will still be centralized, which is fine. They just need to have the real world consequences of the business cycle. Right now journalism is so heavily subsidized by the state you can't get anything close to honest journalism.

Good on you! Our future selves will be celebrating!
