I liked Melker early on but he’s just a trader. Not a bad thing and works for him but his values don’t align with mine. I like your message though Jeff. And books and speaking engagements. You the man. Keep up the great work.

Jeff, I watched the entire interview and either Matt & Oliver are not capable of understanding the global macro concept & that BTC is the only final solution or they are just disingenuous & protected the livelihood both of their professions. With FTX, Celsius, Voyager so recent, they simply argue that somehow these greed driven, centralized token projects will eventually “do it right”. Like the nobody has done communism right. They are simply not able to get the bigger picture.
I love the contrast. You have someone happy for regulation like MICA in the EU and then Jeff just pointing out that regulators are there to protect the interests of incumbent thieves of a broken system.

Loved when you just said plain and simple, everything besides btc going to zero. Everything else is centralized trash 🗑️ opposite of why crypto was invented
The discrepancy is that the other two gents are thinking short term and just based on price, and Jeff thinks much longer-term and as a transformation of the world we live in. Like yeah, some alts will pump more in the short term relative to Bitcoin in a bull run, but long term only bitcoin will go up. Any shitcoinery goes to zero given enough time.
Jeff, how do you see the whole AGI story emerging the decade intersecting with the Bitcoin story?
Can you think of any other story besides Bitcoin that is as consequential and powerful?
Is benevolent AGI something Bitcoin can help with?
Bitcoin doesn’t stop the advancement of artificial intelligence but it allows the productivity gains from it to flow to society versus being concentrated. In that world, the AI benefits the majority of society rather than being used against it.
Bitcoin could allow the AI to operate independently in a decentralized market using bitcoin as money, similar to the way singularitynet uses their shitcoin to power their AI market but this time done ethically.
Bitcoin and AI are laying the foundation for a growing digital reality that will shape our daily lives, rather than them being shaped by our physical world. A non-corrupted AGI would likely recognize the benefits of Bitcoin and use it as the basis of value.

Painful to watch some of the important points of why bitcoin fly over their heads. However, I think it's a great approach to have the discussions outside of bitcoin only forums. Hopefully, light bulbs will continue to turn on from those forums and beyond.
One could call bitcoin a healthy diet for the economy. Nutritious, fulfilling and available to all.

I wish people would research the beta max vs VCR debate... Took me 15 minutes of a Google search... Beta max had a maximum run time of an hour and fifteen to an hour and a half. What was the main use case for either of these technologies? Put a movie on them. Most movies are two hours long. VCR could fit a movie on one cassette... From that point of view the VCR was the superior technology.
