Got to just call it like you see it... everything else is misleading. Its not always easy, I am still working on it.
Nodes must have the autonomy to do what they choose.
THAT, determines the Bitcoin network.

cashu.me is just the bomb... really slick and easy to use.
That being said... wallet.nutstash.app is also really good (Though slightly less sleek) it has some really nice features if you are looking to play around and experiment a bit.
Yeah exactly, its all about the financial gain really. Those blue transactions are likely paying a premium, and are occurring out of the mempool.
To see a block that full of transactions that were never seen on the mempool is a bit disconcerting to me, as it means fee prediction can't be accurate, and the large miners are getting a further advantage over small miners because people go straight to them with these special transactions.
Its one of the reasons to remove the OP_RETURN limit... but I don't know where I stand on it yet. still need to research a bit more.
The blue I think specifies that those transactions were not seen in the mempool before being added to the block, meaning the miner added them manually. Looks like most of them are non standard transactions too.
Holy shit it's working! Paid a 100k sats Lightning invoice from two different Cashu mints at the same time.
Enter atomic multinut payments.

All Cashu wallets let you use multiple mints. To reduce rug risk, we encourage users to leave only small amounts on each mint. This introduces a big UX challenge which forces users to distribute funds on different mints in a smart way. It's particularly problematic when you're trying to pay a bigger Lightning invoice from your small balances. Who has time for that?
The Lightning protocol allows nodes to split a single payment HTLC into multiple parts to increase the chance of reaching the destination, called Multi-Path Payments (MPP). Typically, that's done from one sender to one receiver. What if... you can just break the rules?
A multinut payment originates from multiple Lightning nodes to pay a single invoice, atomically. Even if none of your mint balances can cover an invoice, as long as your total balance is large enough, you can pay the invoice.
I don't think anyone was crazy enough to do this before. Pretty sure what you see here is the first invoice being paid using a CLN and an LND node at the same time. Amazing work by the team, special thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqsw8lr88lzln8x92ng073m4v72kglf9edhxvk8eztg3ftny98f46dgpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezummcw3ezuer9wchsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyctwvshsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshsk9y93w.

Very Nice!!!
Good easy to read article here for anyone wishing to understand offline #ecash better!

Forgive me as I am not a programmer, so my technical understanding is limited, but - why can an offline sender not create a custom proof to send to the receivers public key?
- Is it just a technical limitation that requires interaction with the mint by the sender?
- Is this something that can be done in the future, or is it not achievable?
I'm promoting ecash to more and more people, and like you said, offline transactions is a key value proposition, so I really want to understand it better.
Thanks again!
This works fantastically, and I have been trying it out a lot between cashu.me and wallet.nutstash.app , but there is just one thing that I can't get right... (not sure yet if its just me or it its a technical hurdle)
I can't lock #ecash to a recipient if I am offline. If I could do this, I could pay someone while one or both of us are offline, and neither has to trust each other.
This would be just the thing we need in Africa. a transaction is as settled as cash itself.
(Besides trusting the mint, but hey I guess we trust the government with cash so 🤷♂️ )
PS if I am wrong here someone pls correct me, maybe I just haven't figured it out yet
The Garden Route in South Africa, a 300km stretch of unspoilt coastline, is slowly (or quickly, depending how you look at it) turning to Bitcoin.
Witsand, Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay, these are the hubs. But there are smaller areas in between, developing local circular economies. https://video.nostr.build/0e5d294a526b485767d87955e437946098d5dac12f0fecc049cd47d76f26f8c9.mp4
