Damn it! 1 cleared while I was sending my post. 😂
⚡️⚡️⚡️King of the zap #8⚡️⚡️⚡️
I will give away this wallet/signing device (value 450k) to the highest zapper at block 877 100 ~12h - read the rules carefully👇

The rules are simple:
1) The highest zap on this note will win the prize free of any other charges.
2) Getting out zapped means that you lose your ticket to victory *and* your zap.
3) To qualify his zap, the zapper must boost the note
4) winner will be declared when we reach the selected blockheight
This is a dangerous game but can be extremely rewarding. The first zapper could get the prize for as few as 1 sat.

2 more blocks. Time to strike if you're trying to snipe!

Had anyone tried that "Portal" from https://twenty-two.xyz/
Before I try one out, I would like to know what sort of backup option there is for it.
You probably need to actually change the country your Play store account is attached to. App store geofencing is one of my biggest pet peeves.
What's funny is that I used to work in a call center in the US supporting a company with offices all over, including India. It totally cracked me up to have Indians calling me, struggling to understand my southern accent, & asking me to revert & do the needful.
So glad to have a place to escape from discussion of H1-B visas.
I was blown away by this & also the inconsistency between clients.
I had this exact experience except then it went "This is going to take a while. Please let me work on it & check back with me later."
It was a few hours before I realized it doesn't do background processing or anything like that & so it's basically just lying to me & telling me it's working on something it isn't. And, people say AI can't replace humans!
I tested placing a buy through the Bitkey & CashApp integration & OMG it's so easy! it's not the cheapest way in the world, but it's so easy that for the person without the discipline or routine set up to do it it might be the best option. My only real issue with Bitkey is the lack of coin control.
I got one and it's amazing. They should do a Proof of Keys promo complete with material for people like me to share with friends & family. Not much needed. just a small bit of text + a few minutes of video or something.
My mom absolutely hated after I read that quote as a teenager. 😂
I know this is practically a sin in the Bitcoin world, but I'm not at all entrepreneurial. Having gotten a Bitkey I now plan to get them for all of my family members, but the problem is they all look alike. Someone please make some Bitkey Bumpers. A simple silicon or similar bands to stretch around it that comes in various colors would suffice. Until then, I might just try a rubber band or maybe printing something from TPU (or is there a better material.)
I'm trying to watch the first episode of Dexter: Original Sin, but finding it really hard. It's like watching a bunch of cosplayers.
This is how I am. my wife keeps asking me what I want, but I already feel like I have everything I want. I finally remembered seeing a cool looking EFF hoodie so I figured I might as well get that & support them.
I decided to take advantage of the low fees & go ahead & set up my Bitkey & migrate over my hot wallet funds. Unbelievably simply. Also, now that I've gotten further into the app I'm very pleased to see options for custom Electrum server & UTXO consolidation.
It's definitely going to be my self-custodial solution recommendation for new people going forward. Great job nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m!
I got tired of not being able to really zap people so I finally capitulated & set up the Primal wallet though I hate that it asks for personal information.
FYI I noticed an inconsistency between the app/web app. I tried getting premium on the web thinking that I could pay with Bitcoin that way, but it said there was a 3-digit minimum for names whereas the app didn't have that limitation.
Let’s see…
nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m ‘s team does the multi signature UX and inheritance protocol UX, management
Or 3 random shit UX no mortal could EVER FUCKING USE hardware wallets and you have to manage multisig, inheritance??
I’ll bet on Jack and not having seed phrases for normies
No contest.
You just gave me the probably bad idea of training my family to use Bitkeys while I continue to use my impossible setup. But, then set up some sort of time-locked dead-man's-switch to sweep everything to them if something ever happens to me. 😂
Ok, now that I’ve read that I’m revising my opinion. I’m just putting some thoughts here for a sanity check.
Cloud backup - I missed that before. I don’t like the platform lock-in, but that’s not a deal-breaker for me.
Trusted contact - At first, I thought this was an alternative cloud backup, which would enable a multi-platform workaround. But, after fully reading it seems to be an extra security layer on top of the normal cloud backup, which is nice.
Break glass - It seems that as long as you have your hardware key this sort of overcomes the platform lock-in since it includes an encrypted copy of your mobile key & you can theoretically make multiple copies. It doesn’t really overcome the inability to migrate between platforms though. Only to sweep your funds & migrate away from the Bitkey.
All that said, I do now think that I’ll set it up & use it to replace my hot wallet as it seems to offer a bit more security.
