I don’t think of that as scarcity so much as exclusivity which can be a good marketing tactic. I’m a sucker for it because if I want & it’s limited the FOMO hits. Otherwise, I tend to put off optional purchases indefinitely.

I left this out because the dream weirdness kicked in & it got a little incoherent. After I sat the card back down to attempt to scan the QR it changed to a photo of his mother-in-law like at her wake or something. Like somehow the Tx info was hidden in it with steganography.

So, I finished scanning & finally saw the price & realized he was charging me $69 for two pizzas. (I guess even my subconscious has a12yo sense of humor.)

Ok, maybe I spend too much time thinking about Bitcoin. I just had a dream where I was buying pizza & somehow it came up & the shop owner has never used it but asked if I wanted to pay with it.

Naturally, I said sure & then he pullef out a credit card looking thing with a QR card on the back for me to scan it. I picked it up to examine it & on the other side it looked like some Chinese bank card & on the back there was this additional QR display that changed when he tipped the amount on the phone.

It seemed really cool in the dream, but as I'm trying it I wonder why you'd even bother with the card when you could just do it all with the phone.

Anyway, I think maybe I should go touch grass.

I just realized that if I don't pause my weekly DCA then I'll only have $.81 left in my account after & won't get paid for another 3 days. 🤔
