What language did you program that in?

IDFK. English?

They are actually called BiTaxes

Yeah for a couple days

When poker night payouts happen on Nostr 🍻

I've never had a lightning node where circular payments have worked.

Just had to do out to a different wallet then back in.

Sounds like OPA needs to start sending me millions of sats per day to catch up.

Nostr. But you're welcome to try harder to change that.

Introducing Proof-Of-Gift: A FOSS WordPress & WooCommerce plugin bringing Chaumian eCash-inspired gift certificates to your online store! 🎁

This plugin creates secure gift tokens using Ed25519 signatures that function similarly to digital cash. These tokens offer:

• Unforgeability through cryptographic signatures

• Automatic change generation for partially used tokens

• Double-spending prevention via redemption registry

• URL-based application for easy sharing and distribution

• Custom token naming (call them Gift Cards, Store Credits, etc.)

Your customers can easily redeem tokens via query parameter URL links or at checkout. The plugin supports both store currency and satoshi-denominated tokens with automatic conversion at current exchange rates.

Perfect for gift cards, loyalty programs, or promotions. And totally FOSS.

Nice work testing it!

Did everything seem to make sense and work ok?

I think I just got sats-denominated gift cards working on my site. But it's late and I need to sleep so I'll shill it tomorrow.

If someone wants to test it and can figure it out with no instruction, support or guarantees, here's 10000 sats towards a purchase:

Hopefully it should work only once lol

Cool thing is if you order less than 10k sats worth, you'll get a code for the change!

It's not ecash, but it works very similarly to an ecash mint on a practical level.

Bringing a few of these BtcPens to the meetup tomorrow. Any extras are getting tossed into orders from the shop.

If you need customized pens or other swag, LMK. Plenty of time to get things done before the May conference 👍

It's actually decent. The distillery that makes it is what I drink normally 🤷

When sats are on sale, we drink the $18 stuff from Sam's Club

Our Spring Bitcoiner SoCal camping trip is a month out!

April 11-13, Perris, CA

Bring the kids and come hang out by the lake for a couple days with a great group of plebs! There will be lots of meat grilled, beers drank, and marshmallows roasted.

If you're interested, DM me for details.

When you announce that XRP is the second best at the S ummit.

That's great and all, but I think their stack size is indicative of how well they can confiscate Bitcoin.

They won't be incentivised to arrest people they don't like to seize their Bitcoin for the SBR, right?

Been trying to make a ecash based gift certificate thing for my store. Turns out that was just overkill since it would run with a private mint so wouldn't need a lot of the benefits ecash provides, for all the complexity involved. 🤷

Could make sense for larger merchants (Target, Amazon) or when they use a large gift card provider or reseller.

Because Ecash is just gift certificates, I thought it would be interesting to use them as such.

Making something else to use instead. Just some cryptographically signed gift codes for the store, denominated in sats. No database to maintain other than nonces from redeemed gift codes. That should work fine.

The IMF thing didn't say they couldn't mine bitcoin, right? They have all that geothermal.

Next project:

Ecash-based gift certificates for the store with a private ecash mint.
