I think there’s room for both. I do think you should try to keep users on the platform if you can - but if developer doesn’t want to add that feature then link out.

I just think it’s a more streamlined experience if the person doesn’t need to visit another website.

I’m sure we’ll see many clients though. Up to devs if they want to recreate that experience and make it competitive with a dedicated client.

Nostr long form client have a ton of unrealized potential, and I’m not sure if anyone is even thinking about these things:

- AI writing tools

- Clean UI/UX for referencing notes, audio and video embeds, streams, highlights, profile widgets

- ChatGPT-style querying of content (on the reading end)

- Probably a bunch of things I’m not even thinking about…

We can absolutely design the best writing and sharing tools and I think we will have them - just a matter of time.

I imagine the vibe was similar to this. like ngl i'm exhausted from welcoming new ppl. im not complaining just stating. and then tomorrow it'll be a new high bc some Dev whipped up a substack replacement. it's wild west shit. marathon not a sprint. grateful for my ride or dies here. the realness here is delicious.
