I guess I’m a bit overdue for an #introduction, so here goes: by trade and training I’m a #UX/#Web person that designs with code. By hobbies, I’m fond of #knitting, #crochet, #sewing, #quilting, #hamdspinning, #3dprinting, and #jewelrymaking. Working on reconnecting with my fine art habits—#watercolor, #inktense, and #ink in particular. So far I’ve seen many inspiring works and projects posted in my time quietly being a bit of an introvert with lurker tendencies. We’ll see where that inspiration leads!

Hi, I am one of those computer touchers, located in #Berlin, in my late 20s, and this is my first time on any social media.

I have lots of interests (yes #ADHD), like #Vegan #Cooking, #Photography (often #Pets), anything #Space, #Gaming and #GameDev, recently #3DPrinting, trying to do good, the list goes on.

Really enjoying this online space so far, hope to meet and talk to more awesome people on here.

It’s strange how things work out sometimes. I met my wife through a mutual friend who happened to be dating my brother at the time. I was invited to go with them to the beach one weekend afternoon. I really didn’t want to go, it was a long drive and I didn’t feel like swimming or anything. It was mentioned that another girl would be coming along but I knew my friend was trying to hook me up and I was annoyed more than anything so I said no. Then as they headed out the door, I thought.. well, what the hell else am I going to do today? So I said, fine, I’ll go, give me a minute. We pulled into her driveway and she came out of the house. I was instantly attracted. We spent the rest of the day talking non-stop. I could not believe she was into me as much as I was into her. No one has ever shown as much interest in the past. I managed to get her email address.. because I was too dumb to get the phone number lol, but things ended there. We didn’t speak for another week, but I could not stop thinking about her, so I finally sent an email. To my shock, she replied within minutes saying she was thinking about me and wondering if I would contact her. But.. it wasn’t looking good, she had to leave the country to go back home. I couldn’t believe it.. here was someone I had a huge crush on and they were leaving the country .. not the city, not the state, but the continent ffs. We were both very young so it wasn’t like we hopped on planes whenver we felt like it. Things were different. Long story short, we kept in touch for weeks and she decided to come back and study in US again. I don’t know if I was part of that decision, but I suspect so. US was my naturalized home and I like to think we both moved half way around the world to find each other through an odd chance encounter.
