Had to restain the whole countertop today.

I didnt sand it well enough the first time and had some splotchy stain.

600grit on this bad boy is just mmmmm!

Still not perfect stain but whatever, i dont need to nit pick.

Oh, yeah they gonna be decently tough regardless of how you age them post harvest.

Ive got about, 6 more roos that gotta get gone asap. I think theyre about 5 months, maybe 4.5.. either way i just go by when they start crowing at stupid hours all the time.

Its like a dinner bell!

It was, my texture averse wife and barbarian child both were picking at the bones like a pair of perfect heathens

I had recently heard earlier this summer to let them age in the fridge for 24-48. This particular one had been in there for almost a week.

Ive also eaten same day as butcher on birds that were barely old enough to harvest and have had them tough.

24-48 is my rule now unless its a matter of survival

This man over here trying to get the ceo of nostr arrested

Id share pictures of our food, but my shame of having such a non immaculately clean stove forbids me.

Having a kid underfoot and trying to accomplish home renovations while still feeding everyone and all our creatures is not very pretty

I might not have snow on the ground til...february or somthing, but at least im still eating out of the yard, suckaaaaas!

Thanks! Redneck engineering is a fun passtime

Oh. Blegh. I feel really bad for the brits that are pro.. not becoming the orwell book

So my old fart of a diesel decided to drop the serpentine one night last week.

I hadnt had time to actually look at it till today.

Turns out this homemade bracket snapped where the previous owner(i assume) tried to weld it back togethr once.

I couldnt find the part anywhere because supposedly it isnt made anymore.

So i decided to go to the hardware store and buy some flat bar and just fabricate my own.

A cutting wheel, hammer drill, hammer and anvil, plus about 2 hours going back and forth adjusting fitment and i made myself a nice little replacement.

Rather proud of myself and i doubt ill have to replace this one as its a good bit beefier. If i do though, well i did it once, right?
