I only use Google ads in search for my business. I really don't see the value and advertising in people's emails.

But I will say that it is very difficult?for a small business to operate without Google. You can call that a monopoly if you want but really, they just have the best tools. The only thing that works better for a local service business like mine to join the local chamber of commerce and hand out business cards to local businesses.

Are there any real alternatives for a local service business?

Nostr is cool but I think there's like three people on here in my area.
