Downloading images from #amethyst saves them as gifs for some reason. Highly annoying.

This is a good example of serious humor. #Thenostr
Hey humans of NOSTR π
Lots of you guys seem to love my shorts, and today I'm starting production on something much more ambitious and impactful - a unique short documentary on Bitcoin adoption and finding sovereignty in the most outcast regions of Peru.
I'm hoping to crowdfund the WHOLE thing in sats + zaps, entirely from within the Bitcoin + NOSTR community through nostr:npub1kmwdmhuxvafg05dyap3qmy42jpwztrv9p0uvey3a8803ahlwtmnsnhxqk9 !

I would SUPER appreciate it if you could take a minute to check out our page at the link above!
If you're up for supporting the dream, kick in whatever you can (even 1,000 sats helps!) or just giving it a repost or share would be a TREMENDOUS help too π€!
And if you're a Bitcoin company or want to get more involved, there are perks/sponsor opportunities for producer credits/mid-roll ads/donation drives etc. as well.
Let's make this a reality π!
Awww yiss!
Go for it!
Wouldn't it be cool to be able to #zap other devs on #github?
a week into using nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg wallet.
- one tap zaps with damus is very easy to setup
- budgets for auto approvals are cool
- wallet ui/ux is simple and clean
- pwa experience is just as good as native
itβll take you 5 minutes to get off a custodial wallet like WoS and onto Mutiny. would recommend.
What's the best practice to set up a wallet? I mean it's hot right?
Just zapped you and that worked so idk.
I just wanna zap the monkeymaker!
He's unzappable for some reason :'(
Tried directly to him as well. No luck.
"Payment attempts exhausted without success"
Don't remember who did this but I still think about it #memes #scambankrunfraud

Mood today, talking to some friends about #fountainfm , #wavlake and #stackernews
It depends somewhat on the relays you're using, the accounts and #tags you're following et.c.
You create your experience.

#bitcoin electricity use is one thing, land and water is something I haven't seen in the debate before. Not read through this report yet but we #bitcoiners should. Knowledge is king.
Someone I discuss #bitcoin with doesn't think it's fair to use #Lightning or other layers in the discussion, because "it isn't bitcoin". Thus there's "better ones with cheaper transactions". I believe this is like arguing that bank transactions is out of the discussion about traditional moneys, since that's not cash - it's IOUs.
Am I wrong, stupid or both?
1. Follow famous accounts in topics you care about
2. Follow hashtags you care about
3. Block accounts which spams a lot
4. Go to global and back often
5. More or fewer relays?
6. Free or Paywalled relays?
That's my process for an pretty ok feed, well I am at step 4.
No idea what im doing π€·
Hah, how have I not thought about this, the big thing here is that you become exposed to another filter bubble, quick and easy. Which is dope.
Should I treat nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg as a hot wallet? I am concerned of how the wallet is generated, within my browser, while I am online.
Maybe my tin foil hat is simply too large?
I'd tell them
- Buy daily from an exchange, and I'd recommend some exchanges.
- When it feels like too much to lose, get a hard ware wallet, and I'd recommend some.
- Don't sell if you can avoid it, but please spend the bitcoins if you can - and buy them back directly. HODL & SPEDN if you like wrods.
Then I'd point them to these resources:
- https://dergigi.com/bitcoin/ for philosophy, explanations and thoughts about Bitcoin in text format ( nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc )
- https://www.youtube.com/@IoniAppelberg for philosophy, explanations and thoughts about Bitcoin in video format (only birdapp)
- https://github.com/kallerosenbaum/grokkingbitcoin for a fantastic explanation of how bitcoin works (not sure where to find him, I think he's on birdapp)
Then invite them to a local community where they can ask all the questions. There's no good complete guide out there, and no good guide which fits all people. Too much too fast. I think asking questions when they arise is the way to go.
