🙏🏽Thanks for then DMs to homeschooling. Wow, that is very impressive. I think we will focus on the languages, cultures, politics and history of the countries we travel to. Going to museums. Visiting technology and business (companies) on site. Meeting people. For all other sciences, a friend is supporting me (via Zoom), but still everything should have a practical reference. For the necessary sports I also want to establish routines. I'm excited to see how everything goes.

You like Köttbullar? I thought no one liked Köttbullar . No idea why everyone eats them

Despite rain: short stay in Copenhagen 😌

I have a question: does anyone have experience with homeschooling?

I'm mainly concerned about the organization. How do you learn? For how long? Which subjects? Do you have exams?

We have to provide proof of achievement every month (online). In all subjects. The year has been fully approved and no matter how the performance records turn out, we can complete it. There will then be final tests. We have received detailed curriculums. They are extreme!

In Sweden homeschooling is not forbidden, but it is rarely approved. Therefore, there are not many people I can ask. But I am more interested in basic things.

Just what we Swedes eat ☺️Köttbullar 🫣

All good ☺️Malmö is not the most beautiful Swedish city, but we have some friends here and it has been a long time since I was here

You don't know the tower? 😱

Fotboll is on today's schedule

It's good to be here again.

I’m glad you’re being honest about NOT being well rather than pretending you are, suppressing your emotions or simply saying “I’m fine” when not. Very understandable after such devastating loss. 🫂

A friend of mine is doing the latter (so typically male!), and I really don’t have the energy nor time to draw him out and be his therapist.

But glad you’re doing better! Your longtime friends and family obvi know how you are and when you’re not acting like your normal self.

Glad you are surrounded by love and support! That’s important! It’ll help you with the healing process.

A film and book recommendation that may help and you may enjoy:

🇫🇷French film “Ponette” is about a 4 yr old girl who lost her mom and her attempt to process it. Played by an actual 4 yr old child, really amazing! Actress 🇫🇷Victoire Thivisol won bunch of awards.

And a memoir by American writer Dave Eggers, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius. It’s about him raising his siblings after both his parents died.

It was his breakthru debut book, a major hit and made him super famous.

Eggers has a very distinct style and book is very wordy.

Interesting and brilliant but think I didn’t finish latter half cuz excessively wordy. Also kinda self indulgent. But a very good book, imho.

(Dave Eggers and I have a mutual person in common, someone who knew him pre-fame/book. I’ve spoken to Eggers at a church for a book event. He doesn’t like doing interviews cuz had a bad one so think rarely gives one after that experience?)

Anyway, enjoy Sweden and take care of yourself and siblings! 🌸🌻💞🕊️

We visited Emil i Lönneberga today ☺️ after all, I've been reading his stories constantly over the past few weeks 🤓

And: managed the actually impossible. We have received permission for homeschooling for the coming school year 💪🏽
