I’ve stopped trying, people will only pay attention when they’re ready
How does/would that work if someone who is subscribed to your publishing relay then Reposts? Presumably people on their other relays would be able to see it? Can you restrict Reposting at relay level?
Ah we have some boozers I see, most Bitcoiners seem to be “alcohol is a shitcoin” 🙄 What about whisky? As in Islay single malts etc?
https://youtu.be/1xT6cdfP_cM the guys in white started Ordinals and are promoting Inscriptions

Where are the builders? 😉
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Would need point of sale infrastructure though, is there kit available for that? Ideally want people to just be able to tap & pay with their credit card (this would be in Sweden).
A friend is a coffee roaster and at dinner this eve ran me through the coffee value chain and how little the farmer (typically in South America) participates/benefits. He has an idea to start promoting a small, discretionary, additional contribution from coffee patrons at cafes when they pay for their coffees. They would have the option to pay (for example) $4 for their coffee or $4.05 and the $0.05 would go to the farmer. I immediately thought the lightning network would be ideal for this, the payment could be split at the point of sale. What would be the best way of implementing this currently?
My limited understanding is Ordinals are just people with OCD (no direct impact on Bitcoin). Inscriptions are angst riddled teenagers putting graffiti on public infrastructure, hopefully they grow out of it and it doesn’t become popular amongst adults.
No worries, need to look into that then
Just to clarify it needs to be ws:// for some reason
Do you have contact with Chris Hedges (think that is his name) of the QTR pod? Lawrence Lepard was on there recently and did a very ordinary job explaining why Bitcoin likely can’t be supplanted as the best “crypto asset”. Chris seems to be on the edge of seeing its value and deserves a better explanation… All Larry argued was effectively first mover network effects, “too big to fail”. Chris argued the only thing gold and Bitcoin have in common is scarcity (implying that is Bitcoins only sound money virtue), to which Larry agreed and failed to point out all the other monetary properties that Bitcoin is better than gold in.
Shame about the tat
“Value” or “reward” don’t have same ring to them. I think “tip” is most instinctual for people to understand. It’s a discretionary payment for value provided.
Nice and same. Was a member in early 2000s, lived behind Subi oval.
Heav-ho ⚓️
I’m in Stockholm but I’m from Perth originally. If you’ve been out of the country for 15 years do you still qualify?
