Super inspiring, I already collected a box full of almonds for planting. Granted this focuses on Mediterranean climate but the Idea is applicable everywhere.
Coupled this with the movie "The man who planted trees" and I am super pumped to reforest some areas around my place.
I often wondered why there's close to 0 fruit trees and shrubs in cities and suburbs. May be because people only see it as a nuisance (ie Rotting apples on the floor)
I also dream of a retirement weaving baskets

Amazing, happy to see them alive and kicking! Best part about nostr is that it's virtually free to use the API with no ridiculous limits.
It's funny that every user sees a different color. There's probably more fun to be had with these dynamic image generations on nostr.

Hmm, just realising that clients cache images for many days. Updates may not happen as frequently for everyone as I'd have hoped.

It's simple to use images for tracking purposes (which is why many email clients hide images by default)
More use (benign) cases with sharing images on nostr I can think of
- analytics (how many times has my post been seen? What countries do my users live in? What clients do they use?)
- A/B testing: display 2 different images and see which has a better engagement rate
- put image behind a paywall (zap post to see image)
- localisation ( for text inside image, determine most likely language user is using)
- experiments (e.g. display different images based on readable metrics, e.g. display β¨ for Amethyst users and π© for all others)
- countdown (use a gif and the current date to display a countdown animation that always stays up to date)
- display real time data
The link to the image leads to my server which reads the IP and user-agent from the request headers. It then renders it into the image. Every user sees something different depending on which client they use.
