Just had another thought... in Europe we have capacity issues on the grid. We shut down a lot of nuclear, coal and gas plants, replaced it with unreliable windmills and solar. There are not enough transport lines, so there is now a shortage in power.
Are we not expanding this infrastructure on purpose, because it will be damaged/destroyed in war anyway "soon"?
This note made me think about why bitcoin is important to me and if it is getting a bit too one sided... spoiler: I am truly happy I found bitcoin... let me explain why, it is not about the money or getting rich.
Learned from bitcoin from a friend, who was mining. So, I jumped in with him, as a developer, my skills where a good addition. He just went mining because of the financials back then. We had a great time and made some (lunch) money with it. When at home mining got less and less profitable we called it a day... he started trading and I went on with life.
Still, after a year or so, bitcoin popped back up on my radar by chance and started to read up on what it actually was and solved. It blew my mind! It made me rethink all I knew and learned about miney and financials.
But it did not stop there, once I figured out what effect fiat has on all other things... food, media, education, politics, war and all other things it touches... I felt unrooted. It took me quite a while to get a new footing. Because of this I made a lot of changes in my life. No tv, no "news" websites, started to make my own bread, healthy food, more independence around the house (garden, firewood, small mortgage and shrinking, etc). Reading a lot more books now... it got me to a point in life where I have a beautiful family, crazy dog and created my oen company that is fully automated. It gives me 100% control over my time, creating the way to do whatever I want, whenever I want it.
To me, this is true freedom, call it true wealth. Forever greatful 🫶

Next to that... GDP is a made up number anyway. EU counts givernment spending on roads for example as GDP growth... think about that for a while... that is lend money, or taxed money... how does spending that increase GDP?

Just a tought that popped in my head while taking a shower... The United States are preparing for actual war. As they are on a rather big island sort of, separated with 2 oceans between other continents, they now start to remove threads closeby. Venezuela, Greenland and soon probably Cuba aswel...
Arming all the Nato countries in the EU (who will probably fight the war initially), as the westflank of Russia is open on that end. They are already using Ukraine now to deplete as much people and weaponery from Russia before the "real" war will start, but Ukraine is running out of people able to fight. EU is ramping up spending, training and will be forcing youth to enlists once more to die in some random country. While buying all weapons from the US.
Taiwan will undergo a similar faith against China... Iran will be fighting Israel... Japan will be drawn in there too, first signs of that are already visible. All mayor powers will be fighting each other, US will try hard to keep the fight of their lands.
I really hope this does not play out, I will not let my kids die for this. I will rather die trying to protect them, that have them in war
