Disagreeable. Prove me wrong.

Dealing with alcoholism at home sucks.

Brand new day.

Gn #nostr.

Already made enough notes today. Nothing more to share for now.

Quit a little while ago, would have to go back through my notes to see when. And quit quit, account deleted. No alt or business accounts there either. If aome puts a twitter link out there, sorry, can't see it.

I don't miss it. Nostr has easily replaced that itch. But also I think I enjoy NOT being on platforms. Not wasting time checking messages from multiple places. Not trying to keep caught up in multiple places. Not having more logons, passwords, personal data, tracking data out there.

Nostr is more than enough. Eventually I will probably not be on nostr anymore either, but until then, I'm happy here, and it has been a constructive process being in this world. Just the good mornings and nights are proof of that, they mean more than most would understand.

Cheers, Nostr fam. You've got me, and I've got you. We'll stand at the edge of void together.

Test run 2 - German helmet (with glasses) was tge nist comfortable, almost no wind noise, but lots of noise in general - I can hear everything in the motor, trans, braking, etc. Which I kind of like, but I think hours of that on the highway could get old.

What that showed me is that the wind noise is definitely in the helmet, not in the windsheild itself.

2nd best was my 3-piece helmet set up as a closed full helmet, visor shut - I had been wearing this as a 2-piece, no face guard, visor up, with glasses. That was horrible for wind noise. Adding the face guard reduced the wind noise quite a bit, but not entirely. I think it would be bearable, and might be preferable to the German helmet at freeway speeds.

I would rather have more protection than the German helmet offers, so I think it will be a short term solution while I experiment with changing the way air is coming across the windsheild and unto the helmet, like filling the gap over the headlight, and/or trying different windsheild heights or even profiles. I do have a few options to choose from with that setup, but additional screens are like $80-$100 per, so I don't want to just buy them all.

Another thing I am looking at is getting louder pipes, so I can hear them better over the wind noise. That was how it was, it was hard for me to actually hear what the motor was doing at 40-50 mph, I just had to look at my guages. And there's not much to look at, and hard to look down with the faceguard.

This is probably a whole of whinging over shit I should just get over, but at some point m/c riding is supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing. Not quite there yet, so I will continue pointing out every issue and ideas to improve on it.

Thanks #nostr for letting me document my process with notes. #grownostr I guess.

An unintended consequence of #nostr - I am slowly regaining my written Spanish language comprehension.

Gracias!

And the test run - no parts flying off or coming loose, but I've now got a bad wind noise issue in my helmet I need to work out. I ended up aborting the test it was so bad at 50-60 mph.

But it was physically a lot easier going faster, amd more comfortable not feeling like I'm being blown backward off the bike.

So something's going to change. Incremental progress.

Don't forget the patience.

Sitting in the same spot for hours with very little going on. Doing that for days between fish, at times. Makes every fish you get to eat worth so much more, because you stacked hours and days into getting that fish.

Patience. Changing one thing and trying again. Watching what everyone else at the spot you are fishing is doing. Talking to other people fishing at that spot.

It's the weekend. I'm putting a windsheild on the motorcycle, and moving/changing the front turn signals.

Great times.

I will likely be shaving (electric trimmers, not razors) my wife's nethers tonight; something we have done every month or two for a while. Very intimate, I feel grateful to have a trusting partner.
