As a non-drinker, this is the way. Most bars dont charge for soda water, butbthe bartender still went through the same motions of service, and deserves the appreciation.
The tip(s) also helps my soda water stay filled, and free.
Happy almost-birthday, little 8-14. đŤ
Oh, and I almost forgot.
I am learning how to ride my motorcycle, one day of practice at a time.
I rode my motorcycle today.
Been a while since I did one of these posts, but I've been riding a little almost every day.
Today was the first day I tried the freeway. That was really my final major anxiety (or skill) to conquer. It wasn't long ago that I wouldn't leave my street. Now I can leave my city.
My effective range is now at least North and South America, depending on where the roads lead.
Maybe I should map out a route to El Salvador. That would be something else, showing up at Bitcoin Beach on my motorcycle, ridden all the way from the Olympic Peninsula. I would choose to start at the Victoria ferry in Port Angeles.
No, my wife would not be okay with this. I doubt the borders I would need to cross would be okay with it either. Just a daydream, but a fun one.
Some of this is resolved in the understanding that what we individually perceive as reality is not real, just a useful construct we have evolved to interact with, like icons on a screen are not actually files, folders, applications. Those are (as best we understand) collections of electrical charges, and not even physically on the screen we are seeing them on.
This is kind of like the simulation you are alluding to, but it isn't necessarily something like Matrix. There is an underlying reality, but it lilely isn't physical. It may not even be temporal, perhaps something more similar to quauntum understandings. Consider that physical matter requires time to exist. Without time, there cannot be matter. Having dimension assumes distance, and distance assumes time to move along that distance.
I prefer to think time still exists, though. This makes possible causal relationships, and therefore action. If we consider mechanized action, we believe we can fully understand the causes of that action, through physics. If we consider human action, then we assume that emotions are involved.
But what are emotions? I accept them as momentary facts that inform our decisions and actions.
But are they something that can be present in an AI? Are they part of that underlying reality that we interact with, perhaps even an attribute of it, similar to time?
I don't know, but would want to bery very cautious in assuming.

Cleaned the motorcycle before it got too hot out.
Boys are getting haircuts.
Did my weekly couponing.
No idea what the rest of the day will bring. Except heat. 'Tis the season for heat.

Feeling cute. May join a motorcycle club (technically an RC, not an MC, and a really small one) this weekend for bbq and riding. Wtf?

Always been partial to zombies. Also, Kenny. Someone said he's dead. and Zed. Zed has been dead a long time. ~Z~

Stretching my definition of morning to include any time I first look at social media after sleeping for a while. ;)

Productive day of fiat mining followed by a nice long ride. Not too shabby. Missed zapathon, but them's the breaks.

Put in 13 hours at the fiat mine. Too bad that doesn't mean more fiat for me. Just the satisfaction of getting shit done, and the appreciation of those whose shit got done.
Functionality - cannot post image with note. Always hangs on upload.
UX - maybe I'm spoiled in other clients, but long posts (like the nostr news thing) are left full-length. Onyx and probably Amethyst give you the option to show more on long posts. When something like nostr news are reposted, boosted, etc, that means I am scrolling through 10 copies of the same 100 mile long note. Makes Primal unreadable at times.
Functionality - reactions. if I want to react other than â¤ď¸, I have to use another client where I've added my reactions.

Full speed ahead.
