I think the true human metabolism may be activated purely through photosynthesis. That is truly renewable green plant-based science, and believers should start relying on only photosynthesis immediately. You cam all report back to me in a few weeks with your early results!
Nope, just cope.
You do you, but I'm not buying it. Maybe with some of the stronger hallucinogenics, but not weed.
Best case, cannabis is a passable analgesic and antiemetic, and promising in other medicinal applications.
Might have been DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper. That was an LP vinyl.
I also remember buying Cypress Hill and Black Sheep CDs in the store.
And there was the BMG 10 cds for a penny. Those included Metallica - And Justice For All, and Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction, and Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood. Also Bon Jovi, and maybe REM.
On cassette tape, I remember having Walk Like An Egyptian as a single, forget what the other song was on there, Maybe Manic Monday. It may have come with the walkman (not a Sony, something like an Emerson of GPX.) That was probably in 1986 or 87. I got jumped by some black high school girls and that was stolen from me, and I was dumped in a dumpster. I was 8. Wasn't the last time I got jumped, just the first. Wasn't the greatest introduction to race relations in the USA, fresh from off-grid Canada.
That's okay, went to a DC movie (blue beetle) and it was 2 hours of latinx cope and bad stereotypes. Really disappointing, but wouldn't expect any better from hollywoke.
Gm #nostr. ☀️
It's almost 1 pm.
I should just give up trying to gm. It isn't really working.
I just ate 4 eggs. Whites and yolks, just how they came out of the shell. I obtained these eggs from walmart. Large eggs were about $1.50 per dozen, so that cost me about 50c.
I fried them in a pan. Had a non-stick finish, not sure what kind. Wasn't anything special, just an 8" pan. Electric stove. Because this house doesn't have natural gas hooked up.
I put lard in the pan. White tub, hispanic food aisle. Manteca. Good stuff. Put a heaping spoonful in.
I broke the yolks. Added pepper. Covered with a lid. Just regular black pepper, from walmart. Flipped them like an omelet, with a plastic spatula. Cheap. Put some shredded cheese on top. Lucerne. On sale right now for $1.29 a bag as Safeway. Mexican blend, rustic cut.
Covered the pan to melt. Then put on a paper plate. Bought in the largest quantity walmart sells. Overpriced.
Dripped the extra lard on top. Washed the pan and spatula in the sink. Water was warm, heated by an electric water heater that I've already replaced the heating elements in once.
Good stuff right there. May not eat anything else today. Drinking lukewarm coffee right now. Made in a keurig, French roast from Victor Allen. 80 pods for $25 at Big Lots. Cheaper than Amazon.
I ate a can of Vienna Sausages earlier while they were frying. Drank the liquid. Savage.
I don't need powders and fancy pans and cutting boards. Eating doesn't have to be difficult. For a good time, re-read most of this note in the voice of Christopher Walken. Or maybe Forrest Gump.
If you were hoping for a picture, too bad. Ate them already.
I don't like this.
If you're going to play a part, stay in that character. Nobody wants to know the actor playing the role, but that has to be your sacrifice to make the character come alive.
If you're going to be real, be real. You can hide parts of yourself as you choose, but the ones you put forth, let those be real.
This dithering between your fantasy and reality is just not doing justice to either the character or the real you.
Sorry, my opinion. I'll piss off now. For what it's worth, I choose curated reality.

The only action I regret today is not finding a client with reactions so I could give @marie a hug. 🫂
One more thought. This might be specific to the pwa on Android/Kiwi browser, but often a sideways swipe (intentional or not) closes the pwa, and reopening it resets you to the top of your feed.
If you've scrolled deep, this means it may take a while to find your place. I could be annoyed by this, but instead I've taken it as a sign, that maybe I need to either refocus on the present, or choose to do something other than nostr.
Just a little message from the cosmos telling me to piss off. I can take that gfy in stride.
Alcohol makes you feel good about lying to yourself. That is not a good thing.
Rode up Mt St Helens. May post some pictures later, once I'm near a client that does that.
Sounds like some kind of lemon party. Not for everyone, I'm afraid.
I've written about this more in other notes, but for example, only seeing the top level post in a thread as part of the feed greatly condenses things (over clients that show replies in the feed) and I can move more quickly through my following feed, ignoring topics I don't really want to dig into based on the initial post. This means my overall time spent scrolling is a fraction of what it was.
At this point, I usually give a quick check in the morning, post a GM note, and maybe take a quick scroll, but usually not. Then, afternoon, when I am mostly done with work, I check back in, see any replies or reactions, and again, maybe a quick scroll. Later on in the evening, if we are just sitting around watching TV, I might take a longer scroll instead. Same goes for in bed, usually a good night note and some scrolling around. My wife falls asleep quickly, I tend to be up for a few hours after hitting the sheets.
Overall, I have found I have reduced my scrolling time a lot, replacing it with other activities. I think part of this is because I'm no longer zapping, at least not from my phone. I'm also not doing reactions, so anything I react to is just a star, then I'm on my way. It has been a lot more passive usage model.
I'm sure this goes against what app monetizers might view as optimal, with my time in the app greatly diminished. But my well-being is better served by doing other things, and letting Nostr be a check-in and brief catch-up instead of a time hog.
