I used umbrel for a while (as I ran my node on a freebsd jail for years) and it worked well and was very beginner friendly. That was just running it in a VM on my server. Only thing that made me uncomfortable is it's all plaintext traffic on your local network
I switched to Start9 when I bought a mini pc for a dedicated node, and that has worked amazing. There's a small bit of work you have to do to install certificates for SSL but it's all point and click on any device

Has anyone else switched from Damus to Primal on iPhone?
Damus was the only way I experienced #nostr on mobile, however as much as I like the app it would hang and freeze on me within 5-10 mins of using it on a daily basis.
Primal has been smooth and never crashed on me once since using it for a couple weeks
